The Bridge Update: I blame you shippers, I blame you all · 10:38pm Feb 4th, 2015
Slight change in posting order. Due to a few cases of outspoken individuals, my own mind loving hilarity, and a few pieces of good artwork; I'm doing a Valentine's Day special for The Bridge. I'll be working on it and chapter 20 at the same time so I'll post one soon after the other. I won't be delaying the big Sombra vs. Xenilla & Cadance fight, I'll just be giving you all something to chew on hopefully by the 14th.
Be warned. I am listed as a 'troll creator' on TVtropes. Do not expect anything serious, there will not be a single ounce of seriousness in this entire chapter. 
Tl;dr - Chapter 20's release date will be the same as I have planned it, but another bonus chapter will be published between now and said date.
PS: Don't worry about this derailing the chapter's mood. It's going to be silly on purpose. Once we get back to the main story we'll get right back to two royals and one kaiju trying to paint the town red... with each other's entrails.

Neither am I. Those ones are, in all honesty, stupid. I like proper romances or even romcoms if they're not too outragous. Proper books, really. Stories where the author takes time to build the world. Build the ponies, be it Canon start or OC in full. The development of a character, really, is what I'm after, and a good Romance (ship fic has a bad connotation for a good reason) can really give that. Same with a well written adventure or SoL.
Different strokes, for different folks, though, I guess.
If it's not your cup of tea, I can respect that. I just felt the need to clarify my own position so you don't think I'm just some hopeless idiot shipper.

A good adventure story doesn't have heavy drama, thick dialogue, and action scenes coming down in an avalanche. Neither series is immune to having a funny moment to enjoy, so I thought to play to that. Full honesty here I intend less to open up the shipping lanes as I do to make an affectionate parody

Don't fear much. Like the Halloween chapter it'll be mostly just a stand alone feature that has some laughs and a bit of holiday themeing. The Bridge is not a ship fic and I will not make it so. However, some ideas about romance, and its presence can be nice for character building and getting in some honest laughs.
It's not like one funny, more or less One-shot chapter is going to drastically alter the plot.

Well, I've never taken shipping seriously, I find it pretty hilarious truth be told. So lets make valentines day.....sorry "Hearts and Hooves Day" a big circus production. Lets throw Gigan and Maneiac together, Angarious with Tea Song, possibly Godzilla with Blade Dancer/or maybe Godzilla and Xenilla with Blade Dancer, and finally lets have Iyirs and Monster X together. If possible we can throw a random mare at Xenilla. Think of the funnys!!!
