Keeping up the pace... · 3:38am Feb 14th, 2015
Alright, gotta open up with some not-great news. This week has turned a bit more hectic than I expected, with some extra work getting called in and some other surprises, I haven't had much of an opportunity to sit down and write the story I had in mind for Valentine's day. I do have something in the works, but it is different from my original story idea, and will probably be up sometime in the middle of next week.Still romance related, but not necessarily a "Hearts and Hooves day" story. The other story ideas I may have mentioned will still be in play down the line. I do still plan to write the story ideas I may have mentioned to some of you.
So, yeah, still writing.
Most of what this blogpost is meant to serve as, is as motivation to keep me from sliding into a slump, in my writing, after an off-week. I want to stay motivated and keep up the pace of my writing, and this seemed like the best way to lock it in for me. That is, engaging with you guys a bit, and reminding myself that there are people that still want to read my stuff.
Also, for anyone that reads this post, I would like to invite anyone with any questions about my stories, characters, future stories, the changelings (Yes, I am eventually write-up a comprehensive explanation of my version of the changelings), myself, whatever...to ask them. Again this seems a good way to stay engaged, and I honestly enjoy answering everybody's questions. I might even be willing to drop some hints about some future stories.
This also goes for is you just want to chat about the show (Or other topics. I have other interests.), ask my thoughts, or use me as a sounding board for ideas in your own stories.
Lastly, I'd like to put out an open call for anyone to provide Cover-art for any of my stories. It seems like it would be a really cool thing, to not have to rely upon generic pics from the internet. So, if there's anyone with even an inkling of artistic talent, that also happens to like my stories, let me know. I'd love to see what anyone could come up with.
I have done a commission story for someone at this point, and he seemed pleased, so maybe we could arrange a trade or something. I don't know, really, but I just wanted to toss that out there.
Anyway, so that's that. Back to writing.
Well, I'm definitely looking forward to what you're working on. I don't think I have the artistic skills to supply you with cover-art, though.
