Hey everyone,
Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Namely, the fact that there's pretty much nobody updating PonyFall right now. The last update was a chapter of Worlds Apart: At Eternity's End, and that was six months ago (that one's my fault, as I've been working on other stories).
Well, enough is enough. At one point in time I was receiving requests literally every day from people who wanted to write a PonyFall story. This was something that couldn't be allowed, unfortunately, as the writers had a pretty concrete plan as to where we were going with all of this. Obviously, that sort of fell apart. Completely.
So where does that leave us? The last story to update besides mine was the Twilight PonyFall, and that was back in June of last year! With the main story going nowhere, I think I owe it to the readers who have stuck with us through this hard time to get things rolling again.
That's where this post comes into play. PonyFall, or rather, Worlds Apart, is opening up to the public. If you've ever wanted to write a PonyFall story, now is your chance. The universe has been established, and we know how the main story turns out, with the humans and Equestrians spread out on distant worlds (hence the name, Worlds Apart).
What wasn't revealed was the fate of the background ponies of Equestria. Well, here it is: A few of them remain on Equestria (like Shining Armor), but most of them ended up on various worlds just like the main characters from PonyFall. That leaves plenty of characters to be written about.
So, how do you join in? Here's a few rules:
Do not use the PonyFall name. That arc is finished as far as I'm concerned. Use Worlds Apart instead.
Choose a character who isn't in the main series (IE the characters that have already shown up).
You may write about that character's solo adventures, or if you want to make it a self-insert we have ways of getting your character onto other worlds. Both F.A. and Discord are still on Earth, so a little chaos can be arranged.
No clop, no mature stories.
Be sensible. If a Worlds Apart story is in the feature box, hold off on updating or posting until it's out of there. We don't want a repeat of what happened in PonyFall's early days.

I'll be making folders for 'Canon' stories and 'Non-canon' stories. If yours happens to fit nicely into what I have planned for Worlds Apart anyway, it'll go into the Canon folder. If not, it gets the Non-canon folder. Want to ensure it gets canonized? PM me your plans and I can try to guide you.
Oh, and Octavia is already claimed. Just sayin'

Question: Will people joining Worlds Apart be required to stick to some sort of plan? You've given us the starting lineup/hooks, but is there a planned endgame scenario or goal that you want people to try and sort of maintain as a possibility, or is whatever plan there might have been basically being abandoned?Never mind, I can't into reading. Into the non-canon box I'd probably go. (Unless you want to whisper the planned scenario for the end-game into my inbox ear)
I wish I could, but odds are I don't know enough about the universe to be able to join... Which is a shame, because I had JUST missed the opportunity to use Cheerilee. (IS she still available, or was she used by someone else?)
