Well, that picture is very cute which is a bit odd given who it is of, and she also seems to be a bit lighter on weapons and armor than I expected, although she may just not be wearing most of it. Still, it is definitely nice work and I am glad you shared Shortbeak the fluffy with us.

2900249 She already have a much deeper conection to the handy and the story has a whole then most character's so far. Heck as far as i undersatnd she is part of the main cast for the lack of a better term. But then again only this ( 2900321) wizard knows for sure.

2900599 Oh I can deny all I please. But if you want to go for deep connection to Handy and the story there's quite a few characters that fit that wide bill. Crimson, Johan, Stellar eclipse, etc, etc, etc. Not much to go on.

2900609 Seems i was a bit bad in what i ment to get a across, what i ment was that she isn't that unqie in this regard. You have already give a few good examples of other characters that have a smilliare "deeper conection" with Handy. The thing with Shortbeak is simplt that she is from what i see the fan favourite.

2900657 It seems Shortbeak's past has been established as irrelevant to Handy's, (unless the author chooses to do an asspull, but pulling twist-out-of-arse material is usually weak writing and Handyman has avoided them in the past.)

What Shortbeak does in the future though is anyone's guess... I know she's a fan favourite but I'm a little pessimistic about Shortbeak as a character. She's a typical badass which is a cool teaser but characters usually only stay interesting for massive periods in the spotlight if they're constantly changing, reacting, having an impact, out of place, etc. Handy has stayed interesting to me because of his unique/comedic 'alien' viewpoint, how he's forced to change and deal with things, and later in the story the massive impact he seems to have on the characters around him. Food for thought.

2900159 Tio tried drawing her at ease rather than traipsing around in full armour all day as well as a tendency to anatomical realism which is why her rear legs are so thick and incongruous with her forelimbs, I typically interpreted their leonine limbs to be less massive given their overall size. Her feather plumage down the side of her face is less than I would've thought. He did a bang up job on the wings though, fluffy as they are.

Sure she had the biggest chapter of BM to date to herself, but we didnt see her change from the Shortbeak we knew from her introduction, but rather see what created her. But yes hers and Handy's pasts are not connected, not until Handy appeared and became immediately useful in changing her and her sister's fates. Funny how he keeps doing.

Well, this is the first griffon I have drawn ever. Had to check a lot of reference material of real lions and watched the Gilda episode a few times again. I will look out to make her more sexy next time. (If there is a next time.)
