Where are the auto-read services and what do they cost? I just saw a story that is a Piece of Crap (according to the author) that was written on 3/29/15. The account was brand new - 3/29/15 and the story has 129 thumbs up and over two thousand views as of 4/1/15.
I know there are services where you can pay for views on YouTube. They're 'bots that click on your video. I don't know if they watch it or not, but they do count as a "watch"
It's pretty clear to me that this is happening at FIMFic. Look at some of the stories and the pub dates and the views and then do the math. It doesn't add up. I wonder what it costs...
