A good story isn't measured by how long it is, but by how long it stays with you.

A Thing! · 4:51am Apr 30th, 2015

As many of you know, I enjoy writing stuff. It's why I'm here. No derp, right? Well, I branched out a little into the realm of painting. Naturally, ponies proved to be the gateway drug of choice. So it's with no small amount of excitement that I say:

I painted a thing!

Dashie seems worried by something. I wonder what it is.

Maybe it has something to do with the story tag...

This is my first attempt at drawing anything outside of like two art classes I took back in high school. I'm pretty damn pleased with the result, much more so that I did it in ~8-9 hours while trying to wrestle with my tablet and figure out how the hell Photoshop Elements works. That's an academy record! Here's hoping it makes EqD's Drawfriend. And here's the sketch, because I like it, too:

Cool people draw in their PJs.

Now to more fully substantiate that Transcendence tag, I spent yesterday's lectures outlining the sequel, which I have decided will be named Flock Together. I'm more than halfway through the story in terms of 'what happens.' So yay! Just gotta finish Kite and Working as Intended and we'll be stompin' some old territory.

Onward and Upward! (and don't forget to follow me on DeviantArt!)

You do the art thing? Oh boy.

Not bad at all, man.

Nice work!

Just remember...

Drawing is kinda like writing. The more you do it, the better you get... usually.

The average person writes on a daily basis but rarely draws. Thus, initially your drawing skills will improve a lot faster than your writing skills.
