    So exciting!

So, after a long time and a lot of work, I finally did it! This past Saturday, I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor's of Science in Cell Biology. To make my weekend better, the next day my friend Tim dropped by and gave me a piece of art that he got for me at BABSCON since I couldn't go. Check it out:

    One Year...

Wow, I can't believe its been a year since I first joined Fimfiction. And what a whirlwind ride its been! I've read so many good stories that I can't remember all of them, and found so many fantastic and interesting people. Amongst them, a surprisingly insightful high schooler (Draconaquest), a guy who actually makes me want to start watching the WWE (LightOfTriumph), those who introduced me to,

    Crusaders of the Lost Mark

Just... just... I don't know what to say. It was a direct blow to my feels, and it was amazing! If you haven't seen it yet, watch it as soon as possible. What a great way to mark five years of pony!

Well, I finally did it. I told my dad that I'm a brony, and it feels so good to finally have the weight of keeping it a secret off my chest. I hated keeping it a secret from him for so long, but the time never seemed right to tell him. So glad that I told him, even if the end response was "whatever, son." If you knew my dad, you'd realize that that's his way of giving support for something he doesn't understand. And that's ok with me. I don't really need him to understand, I'm just glad he accepted it without it devolving into one of our shouting matches.

3120174 Yeah, my dad's the living definition of stubborn sometimes, and I got the full dose of stubborn from from both sides of my family, so I can be even worse. But, fortunately, things ended well. With this, every member of my family that I'm going to tell has been told, and I feel so much better not having this secret weighing on me any more. Now I get to see what happens when they meet the guys I'm going to Fiesta Equestria with at the end of the month.

3120895 Actually, I'm having to travel about 4 hours away to attend it. Also, check meetup.com for the local brony group. That's how I met the guys I'm going to the convention with.
