[Collab] Final Stretch! · 2:01pm Jun 17th, 2015
The deadline for submitting stories to the collab is now over. The following people did not submit any, and are therefore assumed to have dropped out of the project:
* keam
* Fictional Fanatic
* Sir Top Hat
Liquidfirest0rm is also yet to send me an Author's Note — but other than that, we can now enter the final stretch and finally get this dang thing published (if only to get me to shut up about it).
I will spend some time editing each story, and I will aim to have the collab up this weekend.

I noticed. Belated birthday greetings to you! *hug*
I look forward to reading everypony else's contributions. Glad it's finally getting published.
3157057 Hi ARchy4288! *waves*
3157388 I'm doing okay. Looking for work at the moment so I will have something to do once I graduate in a month or so. I'm looking into a job with the Royal Air Force.
How about you? How are you holding up?
3157621 Dow Chemical? That's one big multi national enterprise. If you are having trouble because of your previous employer (no reference or whatever) maybe try more local or small scale chemical companies. Something to clear your slate, get you some additional experience, and a good reference when the time comes. Remember, just because you may have to start lower down the food chain than you'd like, doesn't mean you can't work your way up. I'm a university graduate and I'm still damn near unemployable in the private sector, at the level I want, because I have no prior job experience.
If their is one thing I've learned job hunting though, it's to not put all your eggs in one basket. Look at a lot of companies and submit a number of applications. And above all, never give in. You will get lots of 'sorry, but no thanks' replies to applications, but keep persevering, eventually you will get a 'yes'.
3157762 By the sounds of things then, you are more than qualified for the position you want. I would certainly advise against going back to Ineos, considering their track record here in the UK of strong arming unions and cutting pensions. I'd say you've got good chances of getting the job with Dow. If they ask about your previous employment at interview or ask for evidence in the application, your best bet is to play up Dow, saying you would rather be employed by a more reputable and progressive (feel free to use any old gibberish) company.
Seriously though, based on your qualifications, there isn't anything to stop you from getting that job. Wear a good suit, read up on the company, have your own questions to ask, tick all the right boxes, and you should be a shoe in. If you come across as someone who knows his cookies and is friendly enough, they'll definitely keep you in the running. So don't feel down about it, you got this.
