Usually don't bother doing a blog post about episodes because I don't have much to say, but given the storyline significance of the episode and the fact it is the 5th anniversary I guess it makes sense.
In case the title didn't clue you in then warning, spoilers ahead.
Bored, might as well throw up a few songs I listen to while writing FimFics:
Sometimes I just want things to be alright. Sometimes I just want things to be simple. Sometimes I just want to do what's right. Sometimes we all make mistakes. Sometimes we all get a bit mad.
And sometimes I just want it to all to stop.
Fav characters?: Overall favorite has to be Sunset Shimmer
Least fav characters?: Fluttershy, Snips and Snails, Trixie and (from the comics) King Aspen come to mind
Fav background pony?: Berry Punch and Derpy. Can't really call Vinyl Scratch a background pony anymore or it would've been her.
A simple question really that will spoil one character's future introduction not that it's much of a secret; would you vote yay or nay for a mute Vinyl Scratch in the story, or would you prefer she speak?

I'd say mute, just to keep with canon. Or have the bombastic Vinyl from Epic Wub Time.
Mute Vinyl Scratch, it would be very interesting to see how they interact. And just because she speak doesn't mean can't connect with him, and don't for get about the body language, ha.

She pretty much will have the personality of that.... just minus the ability to vocalise. To me that's a very interesting thing to write.

Go for it! Just because Vinyl doesn't actually speak words like us doesn't mean she can't communicate. More than likely, Mac and Cheerilee are gonna have to learn how Vinyl "talks" to them like she can to Octavia. Heck they are roommates in the same house, and it shows that Tavi does know how to converse with Vinyl. The two of them should speak to Tavi.
I would vote for her to be a mute. It would be an interesting read if we had to go off only her body language and nothing else.
I wouldn't mind a mute vinyl, after all, I have seen many different ways of a mute vinyl to communicate.
Nothing wrong with mute Vinyl. Maybe she show them how she communicates to others.
