I just want to say one more thing...

    Anime is way too addicting..:rainbowlaugh:

Seriously though, since I started a few years ago I have probably watched 30+ shows (and counting).

But I don't regret it at all.

    That is all.

You know what would be cool?

You know what would be cool? If one of my stories got a Tv Tropes page!
Totally not hinting at all... :twilightsheepish:

Anypony know of any good animes that are not sexual or overly violent?

I have been thinking about getting into Anime but I don't want to watch one that is sexaul or overly violent ( a little action is fine though) or graphic ( like blood and gore).

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Yeah, I wouldn't go with Inuyasha! XD Soooo much cursing.

I watch a lot of anime, as does the rest of the family. Here's some I recommend.

I recommend watching all of these in Japanese with English subtitles. Dubs are awful and take away a lot of jokes that don't translate. Most you can find online via downloads.

Natsume Yuujinchou: This is one of my all time favorites! A slow-paced slice of life story following a young teen who can see akashi (kind of like ancient monsters). He befriends an Akashi by the name of Madera. He calls him Nyanko(kitty) Sensai. Cute, heartwarming (sometimes heart-wrenching) shorts make up the majority, but there's also an underlying plot that runs throughout.

Silver Spoon: From one of my favorite manga authors of all time! She wrote Full Metal Alchemist . . . They made her slice of life story into an anime and it is awesome. Maybe it's because I'm in animal agriculture, but I adore this story. It follows a teenager from the city, Hachiken as he delves into the world of Ag, often to hilarious effect. As someone working in the industry, I'd definitely say this paints an accurate picture of what it really means to be a farmer in this day and age (though from Japan's pov). Last time I checked, this one's on Netflix.

Rozen Maiden: This is one you look at first and go . . . "Really?" But, it's actually a wonderful, heartwarming little story. It's about a homebody boy June who befriends a magical talking doll and goes on little adventures with her. Yeah, sounds weird, but trust me, it's worth checking out!

Kimi ni todoke: Oh my stars. This one is diabetes level cute. Soooo adorable. A super slow-pace romance following a very shy girl as she falls for an equally shy guy. This entire show is just heartwarming. Always leaves you with the warm fuzzies. Relaxing and a lot of fun!

The Devil is a Part Timer: Actually watched this in English because the Japanese dub didn't translate the fantasy language for some weird reason. Anywho, this is one I recently got into. Freakin hillarious! It's about the devil from an alternate fantasy dimension working at what amounts to a McDonalds. So much fun! A little more mature, with a few sexual jokes, but if you can handle a little fan-service (and I think it is little as nothing much stood out to me), then it's worth a look. It's even on Netflix, or was last time I checked.
