That Feel When... · 9:22pm Aug 12th, 2015
...your new story consistently teeters one or two heat-spots away from hitting the feature box, for two whole days.
I'M NOT BITTER
Seriously though, I don't actually care. I just think it's funny that for some reason the suspense still gets to me.
Also, I might need to replace my F5 key.
I'm the same way really. Somehow it seems to work better when I go to sleep and then later come back to them being featured than when I sit there and watch anxiously. A watched pot never boils and all that.
You know, I wonder if in Discworld you can make use of that and superheat water well past the point of boiling into magmatic.
Sorry! I'm all ponied out reading bronycon reports.
Hate to say I'm a bit burned out on one shots...

Yeah, I know I need to update TSJ.

Well that too. Lol. I meant in general. I've seen way too many and i can't seem to get through more full sized stories fast enough.
It did great; it is just too intimate and subdued to reach a wide ‘audience’ (is that catachresis, by the way?) But, within the expected readership, I’m sure it went to town.
EDIT: Consider moving to Europe. You’d sleep while most of the American public read your story, and you’d work while they sleep. I found this combination to be highly effective.

(looks up catachresis)
Yes! That is absolutely the correct way to use the word catachresis in a sentence.
(actually I think you should proceed it with 'a' but whatevs)
But seriously, yes. That is a correct use of audience. The most direct use of the word is for a listening audience, but it means any group of recipients to a message, so it applies to any kind of art or meme.
I didn't expect it to hit the box at all, but it's still dying an agonizing death. It will probably linger in the popular stories queue for another day or two.
The important message here is I should have trusted my gut and gone with my original title:
Megatron Gives Twilight Sparkle a Hickey
Because that's apparently the stupid shit you goatfuckers want sorry, sorry

Oh, I just thought ‘catachresis’ was a mass noun:
catachresis |ˌkatəˈkriːsɪs|
noun (pl.catachreses |-siːz| ) [ mass noun ]
The algorithm used to pick up the popular stories is probably fairly complex. I suppose there is a special mix of # of views/# of upvotes / time elapsed since publication. I’m not sure how mine managed to sneak into that thread for a short while, by the way.
Pegatron gives Twilight Sparkle a spank? Yes, go ahead please!
