I'm proud of my work, but... Writer's Block is the biggest and most terrifying problem any author has to face, especially alone. Sorry for inactivity lately.

    'Past, Present, and Future' Rewrite News - What's Changing?

    Soooo... hi.

    Yeeeaaaahhh, I know I've been pretty silent recently, only popping up to reply to a comment or two every so often. I'm really sorry about that. Don't hurt me...

    The Future of Past, Present, and Future

    TL;DR at the bottom of the post

    ~~~~~==========~~~~~
    3 years.
    Sweet Celestia, it's been so long. Just over three years ago, I began writing my very first piece of fan fiction.
    Then I trashed it and tried to write another.
    If at first you don't succeed...
    ...try, try again.
    That's a terrible slogan for a gambler, isn't it? Good thing I'm not a gambler.
    Anyways, I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but I will be trying to pull myself out of this funk I've somehow gotten myself into. For now, Past, Present, & Future will remain on hiatus, but I've started a new story in hopes of rekindling my love for writing.
    Official Hiatus News
    Welp, here we are.
    A year and a half since my first chapter was published, the majority of which was spent update-less. I feel really bad because I know from personal experience both on this site and others that no-one wants to come across a really good project only for that project to never get finished, no matter how hard we try.
...try, try again.
That's a terrible slogan for a gambler, isn't it? Good thing I'm not a gambler.
Anyways, I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but I will be trying to pull myself out of this funk I've somehow gotten myself into. For now, Past, Present, & Future will remain on hiatus, but I've started a new story in hopes of rekindling my love for writing.
And so far it's worked pretty well. Just within the first hour of publishing it, I got like 10 favs. I will be honest, I missed the feeling I got when I posted something new and people loved it. As for the story itself, those who have read my last blog post about the hiatus may recognize it: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/173134/sisters-collie
Now that I'm returning to school, I've decided to go for it and see if my schoolwork and this new story is enough to inspire me to do more with PP&F. Not just that, but if all goes well, I may splash a brand new coat of paint on everything, and I do mean everything. Fix up my profile, create a new avatar, maybe even change my username, I dunno. But the largest splash will probably be on PP&F. You know how I've mentioned a couple times how I may rewrite it? Well, if I do get my typing mojo back, I may do just that as I work on Sisters' Collie. Now, most of you won't get to see it until it's nearly done, that way I don't get as far as I currently am with publishing it, then leave all the fans of the new version in the dust like I did with the current version. It won't come out until I'm absolutely positive I can finish it. I will eventually, however, need at least 2 editors to make sure it's up to snuff. I'll make another blog post asking for editors when I'm sure I'll be able to work on it, so if you're not following me already and want to be an editor for PP&F v2.0, then be sure to follow me now.
I'm normally really strict on my own writing, but sometimes things do slip through, or whole chapters don't quite add up the way they should. I mean, you should have seen my first version of the Sisters' Collie prologue. Abysmal. Only after 3 days of minor edits and rereading did I realize how to improve it. I then rewrote about 60% of it from scratch. It's that kinda junk I need editors for. Otherwise, it could be at least a week before I move on from a single chapter. :twilightblush:
If anyone is curious as to the level of polish I plan to add to Past, Present, & Future, just compare the first two chapters to Bonus Chapter 2 and just look at the difference in detail and comedic content. That's what I want to do with the entire story (minus the genderswap, obviously).
Anywho, I just thought I'd give a status update on how things are going, and what I'm up to. Thanks again to ALL of you for reading my stuff. It certainly makes me feel special when anything I do gets any kind of recognition. :twilightsmile:
Glad to see you back with us, I really liked PP&F and I am very happy there is a possibility for it to return. :)
P.S. Good luck in school I'm just about to start my bachelors program.
