Your Favorite Comics? · 2:14am Aug 23rd, 2015
Growing up, I never was near any comic book stores that I new of. I only read the comic strips in the newspapers.
Besides Manga and the occasional web comic, I've never read anything produced by big names Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Archie, anything. Until last year. I moved to Kentucky and a five minute drive away from my apartment was a comic book store.
My passion to become a cartoonist was rekindled and I decided to read a western comic book. The first comic book I bought was Batman: The Killing Joke and I loved it. Then I bought Batman: The Longest Halloween and followed up with the Lock and Key series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez (IDW Comics). Today I found a comic book store in Nashville and read All-Star Superman in one sitting (with the occasional break for pizza and pooping, but not at the same time). I really liked it.
However, my favorite I've read so far was The Astounding Wolf Man by Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard. I still have a bunch of indie and other comics piled up from Lexington Comic Con and Louisville Comic Con that I haven't gotten to yet.
So, what are your favorite comics?
