What I think of Fallout Equestria spin-offs and unofficial sequels. · 12:26am Sep 10th, 2015
Do you really want to know?
Well, as for the original Fallout Equestria, by Kkat, I liked it pretty well. It didn't really feel all that forced like a crossover, it felt fluid and clean for the most part. I did get bored at several parts that were dragged out way longer than they needed to be, but at the same time, it still was pretty good.
But on a different note, when other writers try to make 'unofficial sequels' and 'spin-offs', I want to start slamming my head against a wall. I mean there are a few decent spin-offs, but most of them are horrific.
So when one of the writers I was tracking finished their fic and then decided to start a FOE fic, I was scared. It felt like one of my preferred authors was saying that they were going to make a Chinese knock-off of an off-brand version of a name-brand hair-dryer or something, and that is not a good feeling.
So yeah...

*cough* 51k word chapter *cough*
Personally, it didn't really do anything for me. It isn't Fallout with ponies, per se, just MLP that's been Fallouted(???), while Fallout with ponies would involve OCs or canon characters being in the Fallout universe.
3382081 Personally, I like my chapters to be about 6k-12k words long. As for Fallout Crossovers, I have to say my favorite would be Dark Wanderings by ed2481. Actually, scratch that. Ed has all the best fallout crossovers.

3382148 I personally found Wandering Moon to be pretty cool, partially because interspecies lesbians, of which there are too few stories of on FIMFiction. Good story nonetheless.
Other than that, I'm a slut for FemShep/Liara.
And other assorted femslash fics.
