Just curious if people here would be keen on an idea I've had for a while.
To my fellow authors: I'm looking at running a semi-regular TSSSF game through Vassal, with Skype chat at the same time.
To my non-writing followers: Is this the kind of thing you might like to watch streamed? A bunch of us guys and gals playing a silly game, hopefully making you laugh?
I'd have to trial run it first, and I would be happy to be just a moderator (i.e not a player) for a few games to get some rotation in, and just use my system for the streaming. Even though I am in a shitty time zone, I am happy to stay up late or get up early to match around the bulk of the people on this site's time zones.

I think it is more that I don't have the cards ready for Roll20 (yeah, got an account there too!) and I am using a free account, so limited in size of uploads.
They also support tabletop simulator on steam, but given that is a $14.95 purchase, didn't want to exclude people who don't have lots of free cash.

I am thinking maybe starting with a random draw of 4 players (so I might not be first up, though I will still host) for the first game, then the next four. We're currently sitting at 9 possible players, though given people's commitments, I might sit aside as a spare player if one or more persons can't make it. Will work out the exact details at a later date.
If you know any other writers (3383950, you mentioned one) who might be interested in this, but haven't seen this (as it was only to my followers) feel free to point them to this post, and I can bring them in to the list.
I will do up a video soon on how to install vassal and how to install the modules, for those who don't know.

I have received some people's skype details, and still waiting on confirmation from others. I understand though that some people are not too keen on giving out Skype details, so would anyone be interested in running a ventrilo server at the time of the game? I would offer, but I have had issues with vent since moving to my new ISP, and given I'd be running the game and the twitch stream, I don't know if my poor little 30MB connection will handle another server running through it as well.
As far as time goes (easier for me to talk about it here), I was wondering if a post-ponies game would suit people? Once a fortnight or once a month, what ever, after MLP airs on Saturday morning. Not sure if this is convenient for people, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling on trying to narrow down a time.

3408762 I'm not always home on the weekends and I work half of them. I'm not sure that'd work for me. Plus, I imagine others would want to talk about the latest episode. I don't have cable, so I wait until it comes up on Amazon. It's already killer trying to avoid spoilers.
