I haven't published a story in months.
I haven't had even slightly good ideas for them in longer.
It's kind of depressing to me, really. There's a lot of good stuff on this site, but I can't be the only one that tires of seeing "The main character is in the 48744th marine division of the Earth Defense of Alien Anal Probes Core" stories...can I?
I want to bring something classic back. A story centralized around the main, cannon characters of the story, maybe some good old fashioned horror, or a cool adventure, or even a rib-cracking comedy.
But, as with most things, ambition without direction is just hot air escaping into the atmosphere...
Any help?

Why did you dropped on writing all of the sudden?
All I can offer are some "What if"s.
Just like a mad libs - What if character insert change here
What if Spike got turned down by Rarity?
What if Sweetie Bell got her cutie mark before the other crusaders?
What if Twilight trolled Celestia?
What if Blueblood had to spend a week in Ponyville?
What if Twilight took up teaching?
I'm just making this up as I go along - I'm sure anyone could come up with better scenarios...

HiE fics seem to be the flavor of the month at the moment.
I thought a good supernatural action fic or adventure would be good.
But for some reason everyone turns Twilight into a vampony...so many supernatural beings and she always becomes the same thing in every story.
binding of isaac crossover where twilight is isaac and and pinkie is mom.... starts out like a cupcake story but... well thats the game...
