A Very Special Blog Post for You Guys · 8:36pm Sep 28th, 2015
Hey there everyone! It's Kestrel once again, and this is my fourth and final blog to round out my tales of the Saint Louis Crystal Fair. I've been keeping this part separate, even though I had learned about it on Friday because I wanted to give this stuff its own blog, as it deserves at least that much from me.
As I have mentioned before, Lee Tockar, the voice of Snips, Steven Magnet, and Gummy, was our guest of honor this weekend at the Crystal Fair. He had several panels and offered a voice acting class for cheap and donated all the money he made to Alex's Lemonade Stand, a charity donating to cancer research to benefit children with cancer. And that wasn't the only big thing he was doing this weekend.
Mr. Tockar, in all of his appearances, name dropped his legacy project multiple times. The man has taught and fostered the growth of many up-and-coming voice actors through teaching them in classes like the one he gave this weekend. But he told us over the past few years that he didn't have any children, and he treated all of his students like his own children, and wanted to leave behind something to keep his legacy going, to make a positive impact on the people and world around him.
Ladies and gentlemen, I want to introduce to you his project: Fanbuilt.com
This ambitious project is a what I've been waiting to tell you guys about for the past few days now. And it's all for you guys! Fanbuilt.com is a website that will be up and running in less than a month that will allow all of you up and coming talents to do a multitude of things. It's a site for artists, voice actors, and writers, and probably more, to gain professional assistance and help find work if that is your chosen career path. It will connect all of you talent possessors with potential collaborators, agents, teachers, and more! I think that there are a lot of you that I know who could possibly use this to either further your craft and possibly make a business out of it if that's what you so desire. This website is also for anyone in any fandom or multiple fandoms. You like ponies? Cool! Doctor Who? Cool! Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Star Wars, Minecraft? Whatever, anything goes, people! Join up
Since Lee Tockar was just such a stand up guy for others, I wanted to pay it forward and help him spread the news as much as I can! I hope you all join up and do what you can to help his dream come true! You have twenty-two days.

So unless you hate sick kids, you should probably invest two minutes of your time to hit that follow button! )
Oh, and for my last bit of the Crystal Fair itself, I have a picture of our little group at Dave 'n Busters. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to do it again at Midwest Brony Fest in 2016.
Awesome! I am going to bookmark that website right now!
And Lee sounds like an awesome guy, I am glad you had fun talking to him and attending the convention in general!
You aren't that much shorter than Calm sitting down. Is PB in that picture?
Wow!! This sounds like an amazing website!!! Definitely looks like the place to to learn something new and prefect artistic ability!!!! I'm excited for that!!!! Next time I go to Everfree Northwest I hope Lee Tockar is a guest so I can meet him.

He's really cool. If you get the chance, you should. He's got quite a few stories that are fun to listen to, and he's got quite the interesting life story as well.
