So recently I claimed that a certain new episode was even better than Magical Mystery Cure.
But now I'm watching Magical Mystery Cure and A True, True Friend is on, and I'm singing along with tears in my eyes.
I was wrong.
Magical Mystery Cure, you are indeed best episode! I'm sorry for ever doubting you!
Crusaders of the Lost Cutie Mark comes a close second though.

Yeah, when you directly compare the two, the tears really indicate which is superior. At least, they do for me.
While Magical Mystery Cure IS a great episode, and it's my favorite episode of season 3, I still say Crusaders of the Lost Mark is far superior in every way.
Diamond's redemption was both more unexpected and takes more getting used to than Twilight's ascension to Alicornhood (seriously, I've seen the episode about 30 times by now and I'm still getting used to DT's change), I enjoy the songs in CotLM more ("Light of Your Cutie Mark" is my new favorite song of the whole series), it's a lot better paced, and CotLM had more impact in the feels department as well (the CMC getting their cutie marks got a bigger reaction out of me than anything in MMC).
NU. All episodes are great, don't choose!
They are both at the top of my goto list of episodes, no doubt about it.
Though currently I've been unwilling to take the Friendship Games Blu-Ray out of the player.
Two words - Sunset Shimmer. Nuff said.
