In all seriousness this episode made me very happy. I have to admit when I heard rumours of this episode on the horizon and the plot synopsis I was honestly expecting the worst. With the constant emasculation of the male characters and uh, some subtle hints about the married life not being all that they thought it'd be (namely the episode where Discord was sick, "Life in the Crystal Empire has gotten... predictable.") so I was expecting this episode to be some kind of PG version of dealing with those kind of issues. I was cynical, sue me. Not the first time the show hinted at some things that go way over the heads of kids watching the show.
But like the Big Macintosh episode I was proven wrong. I was so legitimately angry when I saw the teasers for that episode and was expecting the absolute worst. What I got was probably the best damn episode of the season, if only for the last three minutes with Big Macintosh confessing his insecurities and the cross-dressing being the footnote it was supposed to be (unless you ask some people who are way too desperate to have certain things confirmed in canon. Dudes need professional help). Also I really like Cadence and Shining anyway.
Also this is probably the only episode where I genuinely enjoyed Pinkie being stupid.

I have been quite impressed with the last few episode. I really didn't expect the emotional depth they've been getting into, then this one was just pinkie being pinkie. In a good way though.
