    Not Dead, yet

Okay, to start with, I can't apologize for vanishing like I have. There are several reasons why I blanked out, and using them as an excuse can only partially explain what all happened. Part of it was finishing up school and getting my Bachelors. Another was losing contact with dedicated editor. Still more was holiday rushes at a retail job, then pile all of that unto repeated attempts to move out

    The Future of Contact

Okay with the release of chapter six I feel I need to make something known, specifically about my current thoughts on the story and what I am going to do about it. Essentially it boils down to this. I think I bit off a bit more than I can chew with this story. With the constant shifts in perspective I essentially have fifteen different main characters to keep track of, with six of them being

    GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

I know I have not been very active. I can't say how sorry I am that it has taken me this long to get back here. Unfortunately many things have come up that have ate up either my free time or my editors. So as a result Contact got stalled in the mud. However hope is finally on the horizon. I finally have located someone who can step in as an editor! Not only that but he is an experienced writer

    Birthday Updates

Okay first off I know its a bit late, but today on September 22nd I had my birthday! Nothing big happened unfortunately, just some cake with some family and a few gifts. It does give me a good reason to put up a blog post one current goings on though. First we have the bad news. Both Copper and myself have gone back to school, and Copper in particular has been hit pretty hard. As a result both of

    Side Project

Okay now that we have Chapter 5 of Contact out we can finally reveal a sort of side project Copper has been working on when he has not been editing. Specifically using a 3D pony editor to make models of the Elements of Harmony! We don't have many at the moment, but we do have at least two. The first one is Kindness and Fluttershy and the next is Loyalty and Rainbow Dash. Let us know what you

The Future of Contact · 5:18am Oct 27th, 2015

Okay with the release of chapter six I feel I need to make something known, specifically about my current thoughts on the story and what I am going to do about it. Essentially it boils down to this. I think I bit off a bit more than I can chew with this story. With the constant shifts in perspective I essentially have fifteen different main characters to keep track of, with six of them being OC's. After a certain point keeping track of who is doing what while jumping between each one to tell a whole story was getting to be a bit much. That is part of the reason chapter six has taken this long. I just ended up feeling overwhelmed and had no idea how to get to the next point in the story. So with this in mind, I am making a decision. The current version of Contact will end upon the completion and release of chapter seven.

However, this does not mean that the story of Contact will be permanently over, quite the opposite actually. Once chapter seven is released I will begin the next step in the Contact storyline. Specifically I am going to make a series of stories, each one focusing on a specific pairing of Element and Bearer. While these individual stories may very well interact with each other, I can use this to focus on each storyline I have planned. Then once one storyline is complete I can move onto the next. This should grant me a better means of focusing my work and should help prevent burnout since I will have less characters to deal with per individual story.

So in summary I do hope you guys stick around with me in the future. I am glad you have stuck around as much as you have, seriously you guys are awesome. I have so much planned for Contact, that I can't wait to get too, and I hope all of you will enjoy.

I've been around since the beginning of this story. You'd have to try to get rid of me!

Now that's a smart move Digi. I remember you telling me how hard it was to deal with all of that some time ago.

any hint on what story line you intended to write first? I vote for twilight

Fun to read but hard to write, don't push yourself too hard, we're trying to have fun here.

Twilight is probably going to be a later story. Leaning toward Rarity or Rainbow Dash up first at the moment.

That's awesome to hear!

Don't worry, I don't intend to push myself any harder than I need too.

Glad to hear that I am not the only one to think this is a good idea.

Ah, that makes a great deal of sense! Yeah, if it's too complicated to manage in a single story (and Contact DOES have a lot of important characters) then a series of stories sounds like a great way to break it up! Just made sure that I'm following you so I can get notifies when you publish each one.

3500414 will the story make sense if we just read a couple of the story lines, or are all of them going to be needed to be read to understand it? No problem with your writing, just a few characters like applejack I'm not excited to read, but would read if necessary in order to stand plot

3500414 What can I say? It's a really good idea.

I intend to have each one be stand alone. Though they will reference each other on occasion so to get the full story you need to read all six. But you should be able to read one and not the others and not be lost as to what is going on.

I'll stick around, but tepidly. There's still quite a few problems with your characterization of the mane 6.

WE'RE STILL HERE.
