Not going to lie, I think I hit a bit of a writing rut. Will continue to try and get shit done, just don't expect anything from me for the forseeable forever until you get a notification on fimfic telling you otherwise. I think this is going to be a bad one like last Christmas.
October was a rough fucking month for me. Highlights include:
-my best friend's fiancée almost dying from an unknown tumour/haemorage/space-alien-for-all-the-doctors-know and being out of contact with him for nearly a year now (we communicate via letters, and I had been worrying sick about his deteriorating health). And the doctors are literally telling them jack shit other than "Eh, we'll see ya in a month, should clear up whatever it is, good luck kid!" Fucking Virginian quacks.
-almost losing my job. I won't go into details but suffice it to say I am now expected to overperform in all areas of my job beyond what is expected of my fellow teammates just to keep my position on the bottom rung of this overly shiny corporate ladder.
-almost seriously considered going sedevacantist. Anyone who knows what that means without having to look it up could probably surmise the precise reasons why.
-moar car troubles.
-my other friend's wife falling ill.
-father having to get an MRI because of a mysterious pain in his head that hasn't gone away in weeks. So i have that to weigh on my mind all day every day until THE FUCKING APPOINTMENT TO GET A TECHNICIAN WHO CAN ACTUAL READ THE SCAN RESULTS GETS HERE SO I CAN KNOW IF MY DAD HAS FUCKING BRAIN CANCER OR SOMETHING!
-a mild case of indigestion and pretending I am not ill myself.
Fun times. Other non-BM writing news. That Fallout Equestria fic thats been sitting in the wings for a year now is focused on the last survivor of a Stable using cryogenic pods and heavily features power armour. Damn it Bethesda.
...Still getting the fuck out of Fallout 4, I need the distraction.
Dominoes will be released as soon as I work up the energy to change the one or two lines I need to change and let JBL edit it.
All BM extras are on hold until I figure out how to figure out to have a life despite work consuming my every waking moment and killing me on weekends. This includes maps.
The one upside is November is not turning out to be horrible so far, I have accrued around 111 hours worth of vacation time (I tend not to take holidays) so I'm just going to take the week off work at the end of the month to just lie around and tell the world to fuck off for a minute and let me catch my fucking breath. Still gonna miss my planned European tour but eh, there's always next year.
