The founding for the Dragon's Lair movie didn't make it. :pinkiesad2:

Sad, but I think we saw it coming. The Dragon's Lair brand just hasn't been touched for too long, people doesn't remember how ground-breaking the game was for the time. What a splash it did back in the arcade days.

Still... Not even making it half-way? 241,579$ out of 550,000$ needed? I mean, its one thing to have some clue-less CEO say your stuff is forgotten and won't sell. That the market polls says that 'dragons' or 'lairs' aren't currently trending with the 12-27 demographic, and there needs to be more boobs and explosions.

Quite another with your audience directly saying 'meh' to your face like this.

Yeash, yeah, that has to sting. Guess that's one down-side to crowd-founding that doesn't get mentioned often. :fluttershyouch:

I can't even begin to calculate how many quarters this game gobbled.

When it first came out, it was two bucks per play. Eight quarters. After a while, it dropped down to a dollar. Then it dropped down to fifty cents and stayed there forever.

People might have funded this remake if they hadn't blown an entire fortune trying to play the goddess damned game.

Some truth to that. It was quite the coin guzzler back in the day according to what I've heard.

Not quite... Was it 'Missile Command' or 'Space Invaders' the Japanese government had to mint more coins for? Not quite that bad, but still a smash-hit at any rate.
