Not sure if this is good news or not. · 6:56am Dec 13th, 2015
Alright peoples and ponies. I have decided something.
Lost Empire is drawing to a close here soon and most of you already know i have another book ' Capricorn's Curse' coming afterward.
This WILL be the last book in the core Stories in Stone series.
I still have side stories, MD&D, RoBW, and RoN to do. I might also fiddle again with Pontera. But not likely.
Now then the actual news.
Some of you may know about a fabled project I've mentioned called' Last Dance'.
Well I hit a mood this weekend and i completed the opening for it. I am not sure yet if i am going to do just one big chapter or single chapters focused on each of the chars. The former would be simpler and the latter might run it on a bit more than i like while adding nothing important to the story.
if i go the first route it'll be a stand alone project. The second will make it into a fifth core book of SiS. The issue is ..... Last Dance is not a story that many people would like if the complaints about certain chars dying in other SiS tales bothered them. Last Dance is the end of everything the final days and lives of all the core and some secondary SiS chars. It is not a happy thing. It took me all damn day to get through writing the opening, and i still have to go back and edit it when the time comes.
To put it simply even though SiS Lost Empire is drawing to a close.... The story is not over.
I would like to read every word you write. I honestly never want this story to end.
Whichever way you take it, I will gladly read it. While I personally would Prefer a longer version of Last Dance, if you yourself don't feel like drawing it out then I say don't. As always, I will continue to read whatever you put out, and I will be grateful. Do whatever you feel is best for the story.
No matter how the story ends, people will find a way and reason to grumble over it. Personally, I'll read anything you put out there and feel immensely grateful for it. Write what the story and your heart demands, not what you think someone wants to read.
When Tolkien wrote a sequel to his novel The Hobbit, he wrote "The tale grew in the telling". You've still got a long way to go, so it is good you are making progress.
