Across the generations

Something happened earlier this week that got me thinking.
Even though I have all of G4 on my computer and can watch any part of it any time I wish, back on monday on a whim I clicked on the official MLP stream on youtube. Fillies and gentlecolts: "The Formula" now has a bonus chapter, in which we get to see Twilight Sparkle's tea meet with Princess Celestia the following week, and where Twilight Sparkle makes yet another startling discovery about the nature of the universe and her place in it.

What force is it that truly drives the naming of ponies, so heavy with destiny? Can Twilight handle the truth if she finds it? Is this just something I threw together without really caring?
