I had a much more depressing blog post planned and written, but I scrapped it. Happy Christmas to you all, hopefully next year will bring a little more light into this dark world.

its unfortunate that you had a depressing Christmas, but one of the best thing about the holiday season is that it heralds a new year, and with it a hope for the future

There are many other days to spotlight the dark and depressing things, good on you for choosing to postpone such thoughts for today.

I got to catch up with all ends of the family. There was banter and there was gossip. There were jokes, laughs, and in one case, even tears. It was a fantastic Christmas day over here, and I drove home feeling blessed for my joyous, still-functional family. Thank God that my petty, ungrateful teenage years are a long time gone.
