Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.
I have no idea how to do this Blog thing but I figured if I was going to tell you all about something it would be here.
As for That Strange Stallion, progress is slow but it's progressing none the less. I haven't gotten in 'The Zone' in terms of its story but I just need to get the ball rolling and it'll come to me. So upfront, unless something slaps me with inspiration in this department, then it will take a while for the next chapter.
In other news inspiration DID slap me when I thought of a different story. Have any of you heard of Charlie Chaplin? He was a star in the black and white silent era and I loved most of his work. I'd like to, if I can, make a story reminiscent of his film "City Lights", it won't be an action by action ponyfied version, just inspired by it, with Twilight Sparkle playing the blind girl due to a magical mishap and Rusty playing the kind man and trying to help her. Upfront I don't know if I'll be able to make this into a comedy, but I'm not willing to make it Dark so no worries there.
Elsewhere, Broken Depths was a pre made place I created years ago, so every character that is mentioned in any story, is a solid character and will not conform to how a story progresses. So no holes in character because I forgot what I had mentioned before. On that note, I was inspired to use OTHER characters, and put them in the MLP-verse. So I'd like to make a collection of one-shot stories using these characters in different scenarios. If the mood strikes me, I might even make one of those one-shots into a full blown story.
I know none of these will happen for a very long time, but I felt you guys and gals deserved to know why things will be going slow. But That Strange Stallion will always come first in priorities.
