You look up at the sky.

"This... this is beautiful!", you exclaim, as you watch the sky exploding in radiant colours.

"Heh, it is...", Flowing Melody agrees, and turns her head towards you, "You know, I cannot believe you never knew of this. I mean, it is kind of a big deal, with the whole festival and all."

You smile at her, and she back at you. The moment was almost perfect... but it was then that you realised she was shivering, "Are you okay?", you ask her.

"It's nothing really... it's just cold, like it is always.", she replies, "I think I will go back already. I mean, I have seen this dozen times already, I shouldn't force myself out and get a cold in the end for it...", at that, she stands up.

"And yet, this is the first time I have ever seen it. Can't you stay for me?", you beg, but she is already gone, like the breeze. She is always like that, never waiting for anyone. You turn your head back to the sky, now sitting alone on the hill in the dirt.

The zodiac sign of your race, the leaf, is in your focus... Flowing Melody always said it was her favorite... is her favorite.

"Tche", you mutter to yourself, before taking off to chase the stars, remembering your purpose that brought you here, knowing Flowing Melody waits at the next stop of your journey, like she always does.

You are chasing after someone after all, someone who has been caged too long...

So, happy new years! I hoped you liked that small 'spoiler' for things that are in the future! What he is chasing has been mentioned in the story already, but it is not the main-focus of the story. This scene here? Yeah, that is far into the future, which I have already roughly sketched out.
