Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne?
And so, we in the UK officially begin 2016. For me as a person, this means another crappy year of being unemployed and trying in vain to find a job so I can pay off my debts.
But for me as a writer, it means something completely different. As you all know, people usually make New Years Resolutions (and then break them within months). I have done the same — but all of my resolutions refer to either my writing, or my time on Fimfiction.
So, without further ado, here they are.
1) I will bring the Geoverse up-to-date with current MLP canon.
Put simply, I will do my utmost to release the next two stories in the series (focusing on Series Four and Five respectively). I don't know when Season Six is going to hit us, but if it does arrive before the year is out... well, I guess I'll need to work twice as hard to get it incorporated into the story.
2) I will complete Of Horses And Whorses.
(Now you all know why this story has been tagged.) It goes without saying that this story has been sorely neglected. I promise I will do whatever I can to get it finished before the end of the year.
3) I will try and help as many of my fellow authors as I can.
Editing, offering constructive criticism, pointing out any plot holes I find, and so on. I have always said that people need a helping hand when it comes to writing fanfiction, so it's about time I become the one to offer it.
4) I will find a way to make money from my writing.
This doesn't really apply to my stories. I enjoy writing, and my friends have suggested a few ways I can turn it into a career. So I might as well take their advice and see what I can dig up.
5) I will complete all of my currently unfinished stories.
There's a lot of them, so this could take a while...
2015 has been a mixed year for me, so I won't be sad to see it go. In all honesty, I'm feeling a bit pessimistic about 2016 — but I guess only time will tell me whether or not my feelings are justified.
Anyway, that's me finished for now. Once again, I am thankful for your support. It means so much to me.
Stay awesome.
Happy New Years! I like to think life as a roller coaster. Can't have ups without the downs ya know? Ant then the turns and loops with the guy who has never been on a roller coaster before and imminently regrets his decision upon sitting. What were we talkin about? Oh right here's to the new year!
I don't see giving me a hug on that list. I am disappoint.
