Well, as a result of the site's Mods and Admins deciding to enact draconian new rules (ones they claim apply to all, but only seem to affect a handful of authors whom they just don't seem to like...) the great and glorious RealityCheck, arguably one of the best authors on the site, has officially left us, taking down every story he has. Luckily, he is merely shifting to a new site, Archive Of Our Own, here...
Only issue with it is the fact that you need to apply for membership, though it is free, and said application may take a few days to go through. However, you have a 99.9% chance of getting accepted, with a .1% margin of error leaning towards a positive outcome.
Also, whilst AO3 will be his main site, he also has an account on Fanfiction.net here.... The only issue is he has roughly half of his stories up on that site.
So, for those of you who now have to go offsite to read some of the finest MLP fics out here in the wild wastes of the Internet, please feel free to make your feelings known to the member of the administration nearest to you. Of course, be fully cognizant of the fact that they will treat you like some simpering little bootlicker who is so fanatically loyal to RealityCheck that you just can't see how smart and right the mods are.
And to the mods who might be watching this...

(Brain: oh you mean darth Vulcan that story that you have enjoyed reading for a long time? yeah you know if he left the site you probably won't read it as often cause you don't read much off this site

Hi, journalist here, sorry to bother but from how you and others have put it, it looks like it's a serious matter that should be known to others, so I will have to ask you a couple of questions in order to make sure more people get to know of this situation at its fullest without misinformation clouding the truth.
What rules were changed and/or implemented with the explicit intent of affecting RC? And since we're at it, how can these rules affect us all in the same way they affected RC?
P.S.: Please, we're all adults here, so I'm sure I can ask you for veracity and objectivity.

And what kind of discussion would it be that it prevents truth from being told? Also, since you and others have stated out loud the localized enforcement of rules and regulations against RC as a target, then the nature of said rules are quite necessary to understand what happened. And again, the case's nature implies a potential danger for basically everyone on the site, so knowing about it could make a lot of good to others, as truth usually does.

I just don't feel comfortable relaying the contents of the discussion until an understanding has been reached.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything like that. Allow me to admit the mistake and be more clear; Since you have said that some moderators have made specific rules as a form of attack on Reality Check, I wanted you to back up said claims by pointing out the whole story. If it's true, then you shouldn't be so afraid of backing that up. and I'm not spreading anything, just asking for the facts.
Now, since the lack of any evidence beyond "someone said this" or "we all know", I can only say that this whole situation is not worth any amount of time or attention.
