Why guys like My Little Pony;

Because it IS a show for guys.

Not intentionally perhaps, but somehow the execution resulted in a story that would appeal to the masculinity of men despite the color of the package.

The Mane Six are ponies with their successful careers and are passionately single-minded in their pursuit of said professions;

When problems arise, the characters involved do not hesitate to act to resolve said problems in the quickest way possible;

Each character's element of harmony represent values that a guy could appreciate and respect;

And also, everyone acts in a way that is naturally masculine;

Rainbow Dash stands up for her friends;

Rarity is diligent and not afraid to get her hands dirty to meet deadlines;

Twilight leads;

And Pinkie Pie knows how to party;

Plus AppleJack is the 'dudest' of them all. And Fluttershy wrestles bears.

Is it any surprise then that guys love this show?

So much irony really.
