Happy International Women's Day! · 1:49am Mar 9th, 2016
Happy International Women's Day to all the female-identifying people out there! To the women who were assigned female at birth, to the people who were assigned female at birth but are unsure if they're women, to the people who aren't of the female sex but who are still women, you all are valid and you all matter! And to all the women and girls who struggle with body image, self harm, depression, other mental illnesses, you still are loved, even though you might not love yourself. And to all the women of color: you rock!!!!!! you are gorgeous and amazing and are wonderful people, even if you aren't often viewed as such. And to all the LGBT+ women: don't be ashamed that you don't fit in perfectly! if you're attracted to women, great! if you're not attracted to anyone, awesome! if your attraction to people fluctuates, that's perfectly alright too. Don't you ever think you're less worthy because of whom or what you do or don't love
*hugs all of you wonderful female followers*
keep on being the fantastic ladies you are! even if you might not be a "perfect woman," you are still loved and worthy of love, and don't ever forget that
Meh
I dare you to do one of these on November 19th.
3798552 yeah no
and the only reason i know men's rights day is november 19th is because this guy in english was like "ugh there needs to be a mens rights day" and then looked it up and proceeded to make a multitude of sexist comments until my teacher told him to shut up
And a happy International Women's Day to you as well. Hope you got to enjoy the day to the fullest.
3798674 well why not? Men have achieved many things too. Having a women's day with out a men's day really only enforces a double standard.
Wait, what?
This is a thing?
Well, I feel like a dumbass.

3798865 the thing is though that so much focus in school, both for historical and technological advancements, focuses predominantly on advances made by men. women's rights day isn't to belittle the achievements made by men, but to give spotlight to achievements of women that are often overlooked
