    Collab Idea 2: The Collabening

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 11 (including me)

I've decided that I want to write something again, and what better way to do that than to arrange a collab?

It'll be a sort-of sequel to The One Hundred Words Collab, and will be called - wait for it - The Two Hundred Words Collab. Surprising, I know.

    Happy Holidays!

Whatever you're celebrating, and even if you're not celebrating anything, I hope you have a great day today.

Me? I'm going to spend the day either sleeping, or playing Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic; I've got a guild to run now, after all, and I need to devote as much time as I can to keeping it going.

    Stay awesome.

    Hey Ho

First of all, today marks 11 years to the day since I joined Fimfiction. Go me, I guess?

Secondly, I'm still around, though I've been pretty busy as of late.

Look At What I Got! · 1:27pm Apr 9th, 2016

The other day, I ordered myself a printed copy of Of Horses And Whorses, to see what it would look like. It cost just over a tenner, seeing as I was only printing one copy, and it arrived this morning:

More images and a review after the break.

First of all, the book is a bit bigger than I was expecting it to be; I guess I thought that 6.1x9.2 inches would be smaller. The cover is gloss-finished and looks great, even if it isn't the greatest cover in the whole world (seeing as designing things never was my strong suit).

The back of the book isn't anything spectactular either, as it's just the description for the story:

Inside, the quality of both the paper and the print are great; Doxzoo (the printing company) certainly did a fantastic job. As well as the chapters, I've also included an Author's Introduction and some Acknowledgements. Of course, knowing my luck, I have probably forgotten to acknowledge some people.

There was even enough room for writing on the spine. (I do apologise for the very bad photo quality; the light was reflecting off the cover.)

Not only that, the book can also stand up nicely:

All in all, I think the finished product looks fantastic. But what do you all think?

Sound off in the comments, and stay awesome.

Also, if you are/were at BUCK today, I hope you enjoy(ed) yourself!

and there goes the internet :pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy:

Very cool man.
A new book!

I didn't expect to get it done this fast.

Good job.

Edit: I'm not a douche (I hope I'm not), so I won't tell you "I told you so!" for the book being a bit bigger.
I'm definitely getting a signed book. For the work you have done you deserve some money.

Yeah, it only took a couple of days. Really great service.

Thanks, I'm glad Twilight is happy with it!

Ugh, what's Kim done this time? :derpytongue2:

I was more impressed when I printed up my own graphic novels, but you have to understand each page took more than ten hours of work. Not to mention, I did go out of my way to put in the extra effort to get it copyrighted. However, I can kind of relate to the elevated feeling of delight you must be feeling right now even If I couldn't identify with any of the characters in your story. And, the purpose of the exercise was to give me more opportunities in the future and impress potential employers, which horribly backfired in spite of the fact that I am internally driven. Because, I need social approval in order to survive and thrive. I'm willing to bet if I made murder porn like Jhonen Vasquez they'd be more impressed with my efforts... I know the first time I attempted it the stats went through the roof. Then again one of the main characters was based on my sister, and she could and did walk into her college classes dunk as a skunk and showing her ass for all the world to see, a 'C' student no less, and could get a letter of recommendation from her professors. Whereas I, couldn't do the same as an 'A'-'B' student just seeking a general letter of recommendation.
