Equestria at War Update - The Way of Fire (2.2)

Hey there everybody! I've emerged from the darkness to help spread the news about another project that I'm working on. As I've mentioned in the past, in addition to being a fimfic author, I'm also a senior writer on the Hearts of Iron 4 mod, Equestria at War (discord link here), which is a fun (and sometimes very time consuming) volunteer project to dedicate

Equestria at War: Shores of Zebrica

Hey hey people, been a while hasn't it? Yeah, it's ya boy with another one of those "drop off the face of the earth and then post a blog post out of the blue" moments. At least they only last a couple of months (usually) right?

I found out today that I won one of the awards in Everfree Northwest's Scribblefest!

The story in question? The Mare of the Equestrian Eighth, a poem epic I put together that covers the life of War Dash in the alternate universe in the Season 5 finale. Apparently it was good enough to win 'The Rarity' award for 'services to poetic language, beautiful diction, haunting prose, and overall elegance in writing.' I'm flattered, especially since I thought that I didn't have a chance with some of the competition also nominated for the award. It was an excellent thing to wake up to after 5 hours of sleep!

I'd like to thank everyone who read, reviewed, and liked the story, especially the judges who thought it was worthy of winning that award. I guess this is technically the first time I've ever won some sort of writing event. It feels good!

If you haven't read the story yet, well what are you waiting for? I know there are 343 of you who follow me. Have at it!

I'll be checking it out later...congrats on winning! :pinkiehappy: I was in the finals for the Rarity category as well and was glad to see some Poetry! in the finals. This site needs more poetry stories-not that prose is bad, of course, they both have their merits.

Congrats on winning that award!

Grats. It's not Tvardovski, but hey, you thankfully didn't have to work with the same material.
