Applying as a quest writer for "Legends of Equestria" + Preview for Chapter 2 of "Princess Flurry Heart, Destroyer of Worlds!"

A few days ago, I did a look on the "Legends of Equestria" homepage to see if there is finally another OSW coming up and when I was there, I saw that the development team is again searching for quest writers:

I always loved playing "Legends of Equestria", since my first OSW on the days of July 7th, 8th and 9th 2013.
It is my favourite game of all times, fulfilled a huge wish I had and gave me something that I thought I would never get. And I discovered things thanks to it that no one can ever imagine. I love to give support for this game where I can and would probably die for it if this is of benefit for it.
I never thought about joining the team that works on the game; I have no idea about game developing, I'm no coder and neither a good artist (yet) and I always thought they already have all the writers they need and won't hire new ones.
But now this happened. And I have decided to take my chance! I have applied for the position of quest writer for "Legends of Equestria"!
In order to apply, it is required to send in a 2,000 word long family-friendly, original writing sample. I was confused by that first and wasn't sure how original it must be, thinking that fanfics are probably not allowed, so I sent Ellowee, the PR of the game, a message and asked her if a fanfic with OC ponies would qualify too, cause I don't have a 100% original work, but didn't get an answer unfortunately.
I decided to try and send something in anyway and then a few days later, I read in the posts of the thread that fanfics are allowed, so I was absolutely determined to give it a shot!
To stay close to the game, I have decided to write a little fic about two of the game's OCs, set in an exclusive area of the game.
I sat down to do that yesterday night and today I put it on FIMFiction.net and sent in the application to the head of the writing team.
The fic is unpublished for now, until it was announced who got a position on the team, but I will publish it as soon as I know if I made it or not.
The applications can get send in until May 16th and the decision will be made by May 20th, so I will publish it around this date.

Getting into the "Legends of Equestria" team as a writer would be a big dream become true!

In the meantime, I haven't forgotten about "Princess Flurry Heart, Destroyer of Worlds!". The second chapter already exists and only needs proofreading and some polishing. I haven't decided yet if I will still release it this week, but there's a chance I will do so on Friday. There's a fic I'm collabing on with someone else right now, though, and I should finally get around to start writing for it, so I can't promise it for Friday. If it's not out on this day, then it's going to get released next week for sure!
Until then, have a little preview for Chapter 2! Note that the following is not proofread, so if there is anything awkward in it, it will be fixed once I publish it:

After having put the last distance behind her, Flurry Heart came to a screeching halt in front of her friend.
“Hi Flurry,” her warm, soft voice rung into the princess' ears.
“Good Morning, Sunny!” Flurry replied, then she lifted her right hoof and after Sunny had done the same, their hooves met each other for a hoofbump.
Having retracted her hoof again, Flurry began to jump up and down, her big wings flaring so that Sunny was hit by a breeze. “Are you ready to go, Sunny? Come on, let's move!” she exclaimed, her voice a bunch of octaves higher now.
Sunny answered with a grin appearing in her face first, then she jumped into the air too, although just once, then she turned around and ran down the stairs of her house, down on the streets and towards the direction of their shared destination, a ringing laughter leaving her mouth.
“Hey, you're not faster than me!” Flurry shouted after her, then she flared her wings stronger and zipped at the side of her friend. She flew alongside her for a few moments until Sunny had stopped running, then she landed and turned her movement into a trot.
“You're always trying to beat me in speed, every morning, but you never succeed!” the Alicorn filly said a little cheeky, giving the crystal pony at her side a smug look.
All of a sudden, Sunny Spirit stopped in her tracks and gave Flurry Heart a frown, unhappiness clearly adorning her face now.
Flurry's smug expression faded upon this sight and was replaced by a tinge of concern.
“Hey, you aren't mad at me now, aren't you?” Her mouth turned around, pointing downwards now in a wide semicircle. Thoughts about having it overdone with her hyperactiveness for once rushed through her mind. She felt sweat appearing on her forehead.
“I just wanted to make a small joke, I wasn't serious, come on, Sunny, you know my humor, I would never–“
She was interrupted as a loud giggling suddenly came from her friend, who now held a hoof to her mouth, trying to hold back what would otherwise evolve into a minutes long laughing fit that would probably led to it that both of them arrived late at the kindergarden.
Flurry Heart looked at Sunny Spirit with a puzzled expression for a moment, then a small gear turned around in her head and she realized that her friend had just tricked her.
She wanted to say something, but before she could, she began to giggle too and now with both of them giggling, they erupted into loud laughing anyway.

This part may also be longer in the end, but that's something I can only tell when I start polishing the chapter and this is just something to tie you over until I have published Chapter 2.
