I can't decide on my favorite season! Here's why:

Summer:
Good: I can get away with eating lots of frozen stuff (when I do that in winter, people look at me funny), thunderstorms, Renaissance fairs towards the end, theater really kicks up
Bad: I hate being hot more than I hate being cold, it's really hard to cool down, everyone's pressuring me to go swimming (which I don't enjoy for a number of reasons), it's either scorchingly dry or oppressively humid, the sky is sort of hazy so it's harder to see the stars despite the fact that it's the most popular stargazing season

Autumn/Fall:
Good: Renaissance fairs happen around this time, the briskness is pleasant, the smell of leaves and rain, the rain itself, the pure blue skies in November, the uniquely nostalgic twilights, the colors of the turning leaves, nuts forming and falling, the brilliant golden light of the sunsets
Bad: There's a distinct melancholy in the season (actually, that's as good as it is bad because I like melancholy sometimes), I'm swamped with memories, Christmas decorations start showing up as early as October (that's a pet peeve of mine), animals start leaving and going into hiding

Winter:
Good: the snow is gorgeous, and when the sky is clear, the stars are beautiful! I don't have to get up as early to watch the sunrise, the holidays are fun when I'm not depressed, deer can be spotted more often, the ground in the forest looks much clearer, I have an excuse for hot chocolate or more tea than usual, there's something really satisfying about curling up with a book by a fire in winter
Bad: the snow is annoying as heck, and the whole thing lasts way too long. The holiday season is really stressful and can sometimes be sad, people give me weird looks when I eat cold things, the sky isn't usually clear, the reflective-ness of the snow and clouds combined increases light pollution tenfold, most animals disappear, all the plants are dead, it's too cold to take long walks comfortably

Spring:
Good: The flowers show up and the snow finally melts, animals start coming back, it warms up to a more comfortable temperature, the sun comes out more often, it rains more often, the birdsong in the morning is lovely
Bad: The world is soggy for the first few months and it gets really hot at the end, people put pressure on me to do something for my birthday, it's a sad reminder that another year has gone by and I haven't done anything more with my life, people bother me about Valentine's day, I'm not sure whether it's warm or cold most of the time
