Screw it. I'm over the rewrite. Over it. · 12:33am May 20th, 2016
No rewrite. None. Not a damn one, and I'll tell you why.
For starters, it's a lot harder to completely change the story while keeping it going at the same pace than I thought. I thought I would be able to just change some words around, maybe delay a couple of meetings, but no. I went too far with how I made things, and now I'm stuck with it. I don't want to abandon another story like the last few I've completely removed from the site. Not this one, god dammit.
Second, family issues have been getting in the way. Summer break is about to start, which would normally allow me plenty of time to write, which I plan on getting at least three chapters out this summer by the way, but first of all, my Grandmother recently got brain cancer, and she lives only about 2 hours away on one end of the trip, so it's a four hour trip to and from. I've spent a few weekends doing that, including the one coming up in a day or so. Couple that with the stress of final exams, and my mother wanting to remodel the house without warning or explanation, it adds up to a very busy me.
So why am I telling you this? Why go through the effort instead of using it on something productive, like the rewrite? Well I'll tell you.
I like you guys. You like my story. And aside from a couple sticklers that can't stand what I've done to the lore, you all seem to enjoy what I've written so far. Even without a rewrite. So, with all of this happening, combined with the fact that I'm still getting notifications of people favoriting the story even now, I have decided to simply continue where I left off in the story, instead of trying to do the whole thing over again. (Yes I've had to redo this exact story once before, it was before I published it and it was annoying beyond belief.)
I sincerely apologize for making anyone think that it would improve, and I apologize in advance for how terrible I am at writing Celestia in a military setting, or Celestia in general, really.
The story will be taken out of hiatus, and I will remove the warning of a rewrite from the description shortly after I post this. Also, my school year ends in about a week and a half, on June 1st. That is when I will start the story back up.
Alright, pretty sure I covered everything. If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask away, whether by PM or comment or whatever. Suggestions about the story are greatly appreciated, but to be honest, my track record for making changes isn't exactly the best right now, so expect a delayed response to any lore mishaps I may have, or anything you think needs to be changed.
There, rant over. Lunar, out.
Well first of all, thank you for picking back up your story.
And though it as been a long time I read this one, I think it is pretty much well written. There is those formats issues I remember sticking out, but those are technical issues.
3957363 Well, I'm glad to start writing this again to tell you the truth. I thought it was a really good concept, even if the delivery was kinda meh, but I'm glad to hear you enjoy it. Hopefully I can actually get some chapters out regularly, instead of doing what I usually do.
