FYI: Roughing out a sequel to Daring Do and the Dance · 5:03pm Jul 13th, 2016

Just to let you know, there will be a slightly more naughty sequel to Daring Do and the Dance which I am sketching out and is currently in the Really Rough Draft stage. A sneak peek will show up in Drifting Down the Lazy River, the sequel to The One Who Got Away (seaponies and shipping, oh my). (below the break)

Also, check out the new reading of Daring Do and the Dance done by Crafty Arts (and check out his YouTube channel)

(Quick clarification: Ripple is a nine year old seapony and Turpentine is an eleven year old earth pony, so there's no shipping in this.)

Drifting Down the Lazy River
Part Of My World

"Next we slid into the river and had a swim, so as to freshen up and cool off; then we set down on the sandy bottom where the water was about knee deep, and watched the day-light come. Not a sound anywheres—perfectly still—just like the whole world was asleep, only sometimes the bullfrogs a-cluttering, maybe."

The Adventures of Buck Fin

...
“Like tadpoles, only not for eating,” said Ripple, scooping an errant tadpole out of the water next to her and holding it over to Turpentine by cupping it in the hollow of her flipper. “Did you want one?”

“Eww,” said Turpentine. He wrinkled up his nose, but he still looked down at the little captive frog-ette. It looked so odd with big bulging eyes and a pair of tiny legs to each side of the tail, then it was gone as Ripple slurped it up and swallowed. “Eww!” he added with more emphasis. “Gross.”

“Yummy,” said Ripple, flicking a little bit of tadpole water at his face. “Mister Baron Gaberdine doesn’t mind eating fish. He says that someday he’s going to fry us up some frog legs, just like in the griffon cookbook he found. And someday soon he’s going to steam clams for all of my family.”

“That’s not nearly as bad,” said Turpentine, feeling more comfortable now that the conversation was going back to a topic which had been covered, although briefly, in one of his books. “In Daring Do and the Isle of View, the evil Ahuizotl’s minion captures her on a tropical island, and they have to join together to fight for survival in the terrifying jungle of the Fillyppine Islands. They wind up diving for oysters and roasting them over an open fire, just to survive. They ate a lot of oysters in that book, and in the end, the minion gave Daring one of the pearls they found.”

“Ooo,” said Ripple. “Did they get married and live happily ever after?”

“No,” scoffed Turpentine. “Daring Do flew away and Ahuizotl yelled at her like he always does. That way they can have a new book out in a few months.” He paused. “What were we talking about?”

How much more naughty? Teen or mature?

4088997 Oh, no. I don't do mature. It will, however, imply considerably, much like a bunch of my stories.

This is awesome news!!:pinkiehappy:

Daring Do and the Dance is seriously one of my fav short stories on this site. Really pumped to see more!

4089204 I'm sorry if my previous post was unclear, I never figured you'd be explicit, but you don't have to be to be tagged as mature. I was asking if you going to do something like Estrus by Friendly Uncle. Estrus is one of the oldest (and in my opinion one of the funnest) character driven comedies on FimFiction. Its never explicit but it is still tagged as mature due to the girls talking about sex.

Lol @ Fillypines :pinkiehappy:

Can't wait for the sequels :)

Daring Do and the Isle of View, huh?
Do you enjoy Piers Anthony?

4158232 doesn't everypony?
