Why. *bangs head into a desk* The heck. *bangs again* Does that comic exist!?
I consider the Special Holiday comic an complete abomination. Just why they made everything OOC?
I stumbled into a story called In a time of need. Now, there's nothing wrong about the author who wrote it. It's just everytime I look into that story, bad memories from the comic comes. Really bad memories.
That's the very main reason why I wrote I will never leave you behind. Everything in that comic was a nightmare. As the Angry Video Game Nerd puts it...
*Sigh* I'm glad the comics aren't canon, but still, that comic is horrible.
I sort of agree with you on this topic, I happen to really like her 'in a time of need' story thought it was well written. I too agree that what the cutie mark crusaders do to Sunset in that comic is really stupid. I also didn't like how they didn't get expelled from school for that little stunt let alone had to deal with the police. I do like how Sunset is shown to have emotions but, yes the comic it self was a bit over the top
That comic is just one of the two main reasons I consider the IDW comics to take place in a separate universe.
The fact that it's a Christmas special makes it even worse, as it goes against everything that the holiday stands for.
They had ideas they didn't want to bury but knew they couldn't make cannon so they made the comics

I consider them non-canon.

You're extremely right. The only way a holiday special in the EQG universe can be a true holiday special is to kill, destroy and bury that darned comic so it can't never return and make an aesop of what really christmas stands for.
Or we could write a christmas story where Anon-a-Miss never happened.

I propose that every Christmas from now on, we take a copy of that issue, throw it in the fireplace and roast marshmallows over it's ashes.
I have just read some comics and IDk if I have read that one
