I'm f***ed · 4:51am Sep 14th, 2016
Ladies, Gentlemen and frogs. I'm officially out of money... again.
Why?
The ATO, or Australian Taxation Office, has decided that I haven't filed a tax return in six years.
Six years. So, they're asking for a tax return from when I was sixteen years old, when I didn't even know what a 'tax return' was. Fantastic.
Now, if it didn't cost me anything, I'd be fine. If it was only two years, that'd also be fine. However, it's not. From 2015 to 2010 (Sorry, five years) it's labelled as 'overdue'. So, basically, that means I need to do this shit online, and spend 95.60 or something stupid for each one. 2015 is fine, it pays for itself. The others? Nope. I didn't GET taxed. I didn't earn enough to get taxed, and I didn't buy anything for work purposes to be tax deductible. In other words?
$500 of my living money, $140 of which I don't have, now has to be paid to the government. Because they're dicks, and decided I haven't done any tax returns.
Felt like I had to tell someone, and sorry for a lack of content, I've been busy looking for a new job, finding a new job, losing (practically) said job, and looking for another one.
Valorousspectre... out.
This sounds weird. Make sure it isn't a scam first and foremost.
4218711 Scam? Nope. Misunderstanding for most of it? Yep! It's okay, I fixed it all up ^^ Didn't have to pay a thing.
