How Many Times Does Trixie Actually Say "I"?

One of Trixie's best-known traits in the fandom is that she speaks in the third person all the time. But does she really? Turns out, no one has ever counted the times she says "I." Until now...

Reference/Inspiration List for "Where Black Seas Lap the Shores of Dead Stars"

Rather than litter the author's notes with references in my usual style, I thought I'd try something a little different. So, for the curious, I've made a separate blog post of all the references and allusions you might have missed!

Hat Man Reviews: "Haze" by Bandy!

Haze is a story that is filled with big ideas: Cloud empires. Flying earth ponies. Ancient religions. Superpower-inducing fungi. Unfortunately, much like the mushroom-munching ponies in this story, this story might be biting off more than it can handle…

New "The Iron Horse" Chapter is... Delayed. :( · 6:16am Sep 16th, 2016

Yeah, I hate to do this, everyone. :fluttershysad: I am working on the chapter, and progress has been made, but a certain medical condition of mine reared its ugly head and thoroughly ruined my ability to concentrate on writing earlier this week, and while I feel better now, it's also a very busy time at work, and I don't think I can concentrate on both this fanfic and my students at the same time. So, since people pay me to teach and not to write about adorable robot ponies, I'm afraid I'm going to have to put off The Iron Horse by a week so I can give the chapter enough attention (not to mention giving the editors sufficient time to look it over).

The good news is that my illustrator has been working steadily on adding illustrations to older chapters. One, from the Pinkie Pie arc, is nearly finished, actually, and here's a quick preview of it. I think you'll enjoy the finished product. :raritywink:

It's alright, your health and personal life are far more important than writing fanfics.

Also, fiction writers do get paid... if you publish it in a book. :pinkiehappy:

BTW what is this medical condition you mentioned? :rainbowhuh: That is if you're willing to tell us. It's alright if you don't want to.

Oh, I'm sorry that you've been having difficulties.

...Though I must say, as an editor, I'm a bit relieved by the delay. I've got twenty pages or so of another story I edit for to process at the moment, a session on Homelands scheduled this weekend, cooking, homework, and grocery shopping Friday, repairing the irrigation system Saturday... bit loaded with work at present. :)

Still, sorry my little respite is coming at the cost of the aforementioned difficulties for you; I hope that your health continues to hold and your classes go well.

NP, take your time.

Take your time to recovery and take care of yourself!

Medical problems? Oh geez, I hope it's nothing too serious...

But, I'll be honest, I'm a bit glad for the respite. Been doing a lot of running around lately, you know?

And don't work yourself too hard! Your health is important.

No need to apologize for anything THM! Life happens... Take care of yourself, and come back healthy--or healthier, anyway! :pinkiehappy:

Hey folks, readers, editors, etc.!

First, to clarify: I have Crohn's disease. Normally it's in remission, but stress and not doing a good enough job of taking my meds set me off a bit, and I've been dealing with the stomach pain. But it seems to be subsiding, and I'm feeling fine. Thanks for the concern, though!

For my two editors in there, I'm glad that this delay has at least come at a more fortuitous time. I suppose when life gives you lemons, you make a Tom Collins. Well, I do, at least. Anyway, I wanted to release on a Sunday or Monday or Tuesday like usual, and that was just increasingly going to result in a tight schedule for me, you guys, and Green, so I figured I'd just lighten the load on all of us and move it back to a week later. Enjoy the time off and good luck with your other business.

Yikes! Just looked that up and it does not sound pleasant.

4213031 I have a pretty mild case compared to others, but there were times when it was pretty damn miserable.

Thanks for the clarification. Glad it's not something worse, at least, but still, sorry.

Thanks. :)
