How Many Times Does Trixie Actually Say "I"?

One of Trixie's best-known traits in the fandom is that she speaks in the third person all the time. But does she really? Turns out, no one has ever counted the times she says "I." Until now...

Reference/Inspiration List for "Where Black Seas Lap the Shores of Dead Stars"

Rather than litter the author's notes with references in my usual style, I thought I'd try something a little different. So, for the curious, I've made a separate blog post of all the references and allusions you might have missed!

Hat Man Reviews: "Haze" by Bandy!

Haze is a story that is filled with big ideas: Cloud empires. Flying earth ponies. Ancient religions. Superpower-inducing fungi. Unfortunately, much like the mushroom-munching ponies in this story, this story might be biting off more than it can handle…

"The Iron Horse" Special - "Miss Turing Science Theater!" · 1:29am Oct 9th, 2016

Howdy, folks! Well, the newest chapter has been written and is in the editing phase. I got a bit behind, though, so my editors might need more time to finish it, but the update is at least tentatively scheduled for this Tuesday. I think it'll definitely bring the intrigue... :ajsmug:

But, in the meantime, I did a little something to break up the monotony and also a small case of writer's block, so to tide you all over and perhaps provide some levity after that last chapter, I have a surprise for you!

Remember when Turing Test and the CMCs went to a movie theater and ended up riffing on a movie in an extended reference to Mystery Science Theater 3000?
W-wait, you don't? Um... well, go back and read that.
...
Okay, now that you've done that, I present to you a short, very non-canon story wherein Turing Test and the CMCs read a fanfic and riff on it. This particular fanfic is here on this site and it's called The Princess and the Plumber by DaiAtlas2016. Not only that, he has graciously given his permission for this story to be mocked, which makes him a darn good sport in my book.

Unfortunately, as FiMfiction.net does not allow such stories on the site, you'll have to read it via Google Docs. Leave any comments here on this blog post, and also wish my illustrator Greenfinger a happy birthday, since I wrote this story partially as a present for him. :scootangel: Without further ado, here it is:

Until next time, true believers!

That was beautiful!!! Made me laugh so hard I cried!!!

Well, that was fun. :pinkiehappy: Any chance of it happening more?

Happy birthday, Greenfinger!

4247350 Hey thanks buddy, i'm usually kinda gloomy on birthdays but it was a pretty good one all things considered.

Ah, well, sorry about the usual state of affairs, but I'm glad that this one was apparently better than most.

4247597 Don't mind him. Green's just a natural stick in the mud. I kept him company, though.

Ah, such memories that brings back! Some day I should tell you all how I once unclogged a "lady's room" toilet at a TV station with my bare hand!!! :rainbowdetermined2: <Stand back! I'm going in.)

Please don't. :pinkiesick:

Not to worry. While it did actually happen, I have just barely enough common sense to know--most people don't especially enjoy those happy little anecdotes from my past.

Happy Late Birthday Greenfinger!

I should probably fill you all in so I don't look like a total Grumpy-pants, My birthday was actually pretty good. While normally my birthday involves sitting in my room watching cartoons with a stuffed crust and a slice of pie, this time I actually went to a Japanese steakhouse and was able to try nigiri for the first time. It was pretty good actually, though my stomach is clearly not used to raw fish, I could stand to go there more often. After that I went to see my 98 year old grandmother and picked up some fruit at the grocer and the oranges were on sale. All in all it was a pretty good day.

Thanks to you all for the well wishes by the way, it means a lot that folks care.

You know it's a good day when oranges are on sale!! :raritywink:

There needs to be more of this.

4289859 Oh, I'm sure there will be. :raritywink:
