So, first up, Pony Predators of Equestria is going on Hiatus for a few weeks. That said, this isn't a "I'm starting to get worn out and tired of this, so I'm taking a break" kind of hiatus, it's a "I'm going through and reviewing each chapter before I try submitting to Equestria Daily" kind of hiatus. I don't really have much of an idea how long this will end up taking - I've already found several things in the first chapter that needed to be fixed so far - but if I had to guess, I'd say it'll be 4-6 weeks before I get back to writing the next chapter.
The reviewing will also only be "dot the i's, cross the t's" types of changes; there will be no changes to the meaning of anything that has happened/been said/etc, though how things are worded may change a bit. Or to put it another way, nobody is going to have to go back and re-read previous chapters once this is done for the story to keep making sense.
Speaking of next chapters, the chapter schedule once all that reviewing is over and done with:
Chapter 21.5 Caramel's Cloudsdale Adventure
Chapter 22 Testing The Waters
Chapter 22.5 A Day in the Life of Discord
Chapter 23 Diplomatic Overtures
And finally, it's probably a bit overdue for me to update the estimated frequency at which chapters will probably be coming out.
I had originally, at some point, said I was aiming for a new chapter every 3 weeks. That worked well enough when I was expecting each chapter to be 3k-4k words, but I've been going well past that pretty consistently, and the time between chapters has likewise been consistently longer than 3 weeks. So, given that I have no good way of estimating how long a chapter will end up being (other than "longer than I originally thought") my new estimate is there will be a new chapter no less frequently than every 5 weeks, if for no other reason than that's the point at which I really start getting bored from writing and revising the same chapter for so long. I know this, because that's what happened with Chapter 16. There may be some people who can handle writing single chapters which are that long and longer, but I am not one of those people.
I'm fairly certain that EQD will love the story.
I'll be honest (I'm not trying to be mean) but i forgot about the "3 weeks between updates" thing. And it seems laughable now, it's at least a month between updates.
It's totally worth it though, it's such a good story.
Be careful you do not stay in haitus too long, otherwise Writers Block may kick in, then you really wont be updating as much as you want. My advice is to write drafts in your off time and this way you can be prepared in case you lose motivation.

A good point, but I'm not too worried. If this was a true hiatus where I was just not doing anything with the story at all, then that would probably wind up being a problem, but I'm still going to be putting at least an hour a day into reviewing the existing chapters, so I think it'll be fine. I'm definitely going to be jotting down any ideas I happen to have for the next chapters.
well, been almost a month. Will we be hearing about a new chapter soon?

Well, I said 4-6 weeks before I start writing a new chapter and it hasn't quite been 4 weeks yet, so no.
