Greetings!
So it's been a while since the last batch of chapters were up and I do apologise, really. I want to get this story back on the road as much as you and now that I've figured out the route I'm taking, expect the next chapters soon. I don't know when, but soon...
Anyway, MLP:FiM Season 6 ended, and now I want your opinion. What would you guys prefer? If the story took place after season 6 (I can go back and re-edit the chapters, for example, Chapter 6 contains Starlight Glimmer not knowing who Chrysalis is, I can easily change that so she has fully recollected memories of her in the finale) or should I keep the story going as it is in this alternate timeline and not make any changes to the previous chapters.
This is your opinion and I'm just curious to know which you'd guys prefer is all, I might not actually go through with it all, but again, just curious to know.

I think it's fine the way it is.
And I don't think it would really matter if you re-edit that part anyways. But if you decide to re-edit it anyways I will respect your decision. 
And I'm just happy that the story will be back on track soon. 
Especially with the cliffhanger we were left with. 
I can barely keep my excitement in!

I think you should do what you feel is best for your story. If you want my opinion though, I think your story is fine as the way it's going, because I feel that the season 6 finale kinda took away what made the changelings so interesting. The fact that as far as we know, they have to feed off others to survive. With the end of season 6, they don't. They had a magical solution to the problem that just lets them get along fine with no tradeoff. Part of life is having problems and overcoming them, and what season 6 did was just remove the problem altogether.
