Christmas! Its commin to town! · 12:50pm Nov 1st, 2016
Christmas! After Thanksgiving, Christmas is the next holiday! So why do we celebrate it? Well if you look at the word, you'll notice it has the word "Christ" in it. Does that give you a hint? We celebrate Christmas because Christmas is the day that Jesus was born! Each year, we have a Christmas tradition in my family. We re-read the birth of Christ. Then we open presents. But wait! If Christmas is the
Birthday of Jesus
then why do we open presents??? Well maybe we don't have an exact answer, but I think its because Jesus was our eternal present! What do do YOU think? Tell me in the comments below.
I'm not much of a nut when it comes to history, since I love science more buttt (yesh I know I said butt :P) the idea of gift giving relates to his birth from the 3 kings that came by whom gave gifts that night. Also in the Netherlands I believe, their version of Santa Claus gives presents inside their open socks!
