Don't read my stuff if you have a weak stomach or are easily bothered by traumatic genitalia damage. That's seriously all I've got in here!

Okay, this is an honest question... · 8:25am Nov 20th, 2016

Some of you may know that, aside from writing and hockey, cooking is kind of a passion of mine. Would you like me to share recipes and cooking tips on here? I don't really do it elsewhere. I don't want to clutter up your news feeds, but if you would honestly like some simple, inexpensive, but pretty fancy recipes, I certainly would enjoy sharing.
I know this is pony. This may not be the place I don't want to make your news feeds busier than I have to. So honest answers are appreciated.

Example of my cooking: Fresh basil, 4 cheese, and pepperoni pizza with a vodka (yes alcoholic) sauce and a beer-batter crust. Crust stuffed with half and half cheddar and mozzarella. Dough hand-tossed from scratch. It's shockingly easier than you think.

Eating a full pizza gives you a little over a shot of alcohol. No, it doesn't burn off.

Not everything is alcoholic, but there are people who can speak to the fact that you can't taste a drop of alcohol in that pizza. Or anything I make, except for maybe risotto.
So yeah. Comment. Let me know.

Uh, sure.
I mean, there's no point in a supertaster learning how to cook complex food, so I probably wouldn't make any of them, but it'd be nice to read.

I have a FUCKton of dietary restraints, so many things I make are very simple and basic flavors. Bread, for example, heh.
Might be some things you can have.

Speaking of which, I just had some awesome pizza for dinner. Dunno where my mom picked it up, but it was better than Giordano's and Lou's put together. omg it was so good.

Oh, I also had some decent moonshine today. Yeah the guy we got it from usually has watered down piss, but this time it was actually like a shitty vodka, which is an improvement. At least it burned blue. Or burned at all. lol

To answer your question, you spam my feed anyway lol, might as well be about something delicous.
Instead of vomit.

That'd be neat.
Bread is great.

That pizza looks amazing. I wish to know more.

Lonely diabetic so single serve, sugar free occasionally would be nice

Most of my meals are bulk, BUT they freeze well, so you can keep them for multiple meals. One of my dearest friends is diabetic, so I have a few for ya.

4309829 Thank you:twilightsmile: would be good.

You poke the porkchop and begin to notice everything around it. That's grilled asparagus. Lightly coated in some sort of teryaki sauce and wrapped in bacon. Wait. Hold the fucking phone. That's bacon. Jesus Christ. You haven't had bacon in what feels like a lifetime. Fucking vegetarians hors-.

"Wait a second," you mutter.

Your eyes move to the next item on the plate. And you definitely smell it. Garlic. Yes, those are mashed potatoes. No, better. Smashed russet potatoes, which the skins still in, lathered with butter and garlic. Little bits of green onion layer the top as your eyes move up to meet Fluttershy. Then, you notice the bottle of Merlot and a glass.

Maybe you said you could cook this. Maybe you said you would cook it for Flutterpriest. Maybe we want a tutorial of how to cook this. Maybe I'm way to into cooking and this idea of you showing us recipes intrigued me. Maybe we want to watch Priest eat your cooking. Or maybe just have Priest stuffing his face throughout the next podcast. Just saying.

Priest has eaten my cooking on multiple occasions, including this pizza. The dish Priest describes in that part? Easy, peasy. Just gotta not rush any of it.

Panicle. Gib food. Plox. Gib.

You cannot fuckin' show the nicest homemade pizza I've ever fuckin' seen, in a blog askin' about bloggin' recipes and cooking tips, and not include the recipe and method for said fuckin' pizza. :rainbowdetermined2:
Rectify that immediately, please.

And I would welcome finding the odd recipe or two in my feed.
Shit, I've got a recipe for TimTam balls on my flamin' homepage.

YES! Totally! I'm always in the mood for good food!!!!

Sure, Im always looking for new things to try.

I would glady see more cooking. How did you prepared your own dough? I tried that but it was not good.

Also do you have any good tips for cooking mussels? Last time I tried that it was catastrophic.

Do you have easy cookable healthy food recipes?

Gib. Gib recipes. Need delicious food that isn't frozen then microwaved.

Damn, that pizza looked delicious...:pinkiegasp:

Sure.

This is supposed to be delicious, for I have yet to try the recipe. Why not you try it first?

Quick Spring Lamb Stew
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1½ pounds lamb steaks (top round or shoulder), bones removed and meat cut into 2-inch pieces
kosher salt and black pepper
4 carrots, cut into 3-inch sticks
1 onion, sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ cup dry white wine
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, drained
4 ounces green beans, cut into small pieces (about 1 cup)
1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped

Directions
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season the lamb with 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Cook, turning occasionally, until medium-rare, 6 to 8 minutes; transfer to a plate.
2. Add the carrots, onion, and the remaining oil to the pot. Cook until beginning to soften, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute. Add the wine and scrape up any brown bits.
3. Add the broth, tomatoes, and beans. Simmer until the vegetables are tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the lamb, parsley, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Serve immediately.
4. To freeze: Cool the stew to room temperature and spoon into a freezer container or bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. To cook, thaw the stew in a bowl of cold water or overnight in the refrigerator. Transfer to a pot and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, until heated through, 10 to 20 minutes.

Here's another recipe I have yet to try.

Beef Stew
Ingredients
+2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
+1/4 cup all-purpose flour
+1/2 teaspoon salt
+1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
+1 clove garlic, minced
+1 bay leaf
+1 teaspoon paprika
+1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
+1 onion, chopped
+1 1/2 cups beef broth
+3 potatoes, diced
+4 carrots, sliced
+1 stalk celery, chopped

Directions:
1 Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.
2 Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.

Good luck!

Thanks for the recipe suggestions! Unfortunately, I have a huge number off food allergies so, generally speaking, I can't have onions. :(
The recipes I will be posting are going to generally be ones of my own creation or family recipes. Some of them come from other sources but have been modified, but many are not ones you can find online.

4310049
You live a sad life, don't you?

4310184 It's a cheap life... but it's my life.

4310185
I doubt it's cheap.
If you have five minutes spare time then you could eat a hell of a lot healthier.

4309793 Heh. I understand that. I've got a serious stomach condition that needs testing and treatment so I'm very limited as to what I can eat these days. But yeah, I think it'd be great to hear some recipes and cooking tips! :pinkiehappy:

4310174 Oh food allergies. Maybe you should have mentioned that above... oh but you could just leave out the onions! It won't make that big of a difference probably!

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! YES PLEASE!!!! I'm always looking for cooking inspiration and like minded cooks!!! Please please please please clutter up my news feed with deliciousness. I always loving getting new recipes. ^_^

I love cooking, please feel free to share more tips & recipes if you desire.

Shame about your food allergies, I know how bad those are, I can't eat wheat myself.

I'll share something of my own.

Great for the screaming kids.

Yes, please.

I love food so much, even if I can only just stare at it and drool.

I can't cook food that requires me to buy an oven, or buy ingredients we don't usually use, or buy alcohol, or make my family worry about the expenses, or... *whimper*

But, yeah.

If I can cook it, I'll definitely do. If not, that's still great.

Food porn.

Do it.

Then every vomit story afterwards will have new and exciting food to be thrown up!

Seriously though. Do it.
