Bit of a good news/bad news situation. The bad news, such as it is, is that I've finally cleared through the last obstacle keeping me from actually doing my job. The accounts have been made, the permissions have been given, the SSL keys are in the SSL locks, and now I have no excuse when it comes to actually getting work done. (It says something that we finalized the process on Friday the 13th, doesn't it?) As such, my available Fimfic time will be dropping drastically as I start bug hunting in earnest. I'll still do as much as I can, of course, but that won't be nearly as much as it's been. Still, have to earn that paycheck somehow. 
The good news is I'm taking the advice of those who offered input regarding my convention resolution. On Sunday, January 29th, I'll be headed to Long Beach for Ponycon. (It's hilariously close to where I work; I already know most of the route.) Please leave a comment if you're also planning on going. I hope to see you there.
The ideal state of getting paid to surf the web and read ponyfic couldn't last forever.
Still, hope you enjoy it at work, as much as you can at least. And have a good time at the ponycon, eventually.
On the bright side, now you actually get to do what you signed up for! At least, I think that's a bright side.
Awesome to hear that you have a con nearby. I freaking loved going to BABScon when I lived in that area. Hope that goes awesomely for you.
