I Wrote A Thing... Not Pony Related But Shantae Related. · 8:30pm Jan 27th, 2017
You sit back on the deck of your house in beautiful Scuttle Town, feeling the sun’s rays on your skin. Eyes closed, hands behind your head, just taking it easy.
“Bolo! Oh where did that boy go?”
You crack an eye open to catch a glimpse of the guardian genie, Shantae. She looks over towards you and walks over to you. She stands over you for a second and moves to your side and sits down on the porch.
You and Shantae have been the best of friends ever since you arrived here, recently she has shown interest in wanting to become more than that. You have noticed her staring when she thinks you aren't looking, she is trying to spend almost all of her free time with you, and you swear you have heard her whisper your name while sleeping.
“So… how has your day been?” she asks.
“Can't complain too much, just taking it easy. How is yours going Shantae?”
“Uncle has me looking for Bolo, something about a missing delivery.”
“Did you try the bath house?”
“Yep.”
“Well I got nothing. Figured he would be there just awkwardly staring at that attendant.”
Shantae giggles and sighs. She places her hand on yours and strokes it with her thumb. She looks over at you and blushes deeply.
“So uh… Are you doing anything today?” she asks timidly.
“Nope, got a whole lot of nothing planned for today. Why do you ask?”
“I-I was wondering if you w-would…. Like to go on a date?”
Your eyes nearly bulge out of your head.
“I uhh….” you look into her eyes, they are filled with hope. “Sure. I can never say no to you. What would you like to do?”
“How about we go to that restaurant on main street?”
You smirk, “Screw going out to eat, if you want to eat how about I cook you a nice meal?”
Her eyes widen, “I-I… OKAY! It's a date!”
“What time will you be arriving?”
“How about around five?”
You look at your watch. 12:34.
“All right then. Let me see what I have.” you get up from your chair and stretch before heading inside, Shantae following close behind you.
You walk into your kitchen and open your refrigerator. You pull open your meat drawer.
“I got lamb shanks. Do you like lamb?”
Shantae nods excitedly.
You smirk, alright, looks like it's lamb tonight. You put the lamb on your cutting board and Shantae watches you intently, a small smile on her face. You season the lamb with a bit of salt and pepper. You cover it and put it in the fridge to let it marinade.
Shantae looks up at you and gives you a hug.
“I’m going to go find Bolo, see you later tonight!” she says as she walks out your door.
You smile at her and wave good bye.
You go back inside and decide to take a quick nap. You go into your room and lay down in your bed. Closing your eyes you let sleep take you away.
You awake a few hours later, giving a quick yawn and look at your clock 3:55. Almost time for your date with the captivating Shantae.
You go into your bathroom and wash up and get ready, by the time you are done it’s 4:30.
You pull out the lamb from the fridge and get straight to work. You get a pan going over medium high heat and put some olive oil in to heat up the pan.
There is a knock on your door, you open the door and there she is, wearing a form fitting red dress, her long purple hair let down.. It's a captivating sight.
“Hi.”
You shake your head and say “hello.”
“May I come in?”
“Uh… yeah sure come on in.”
She walks by you and sighs. She looks into the kitchen.
“Oh! You have not even started cooking yet!”
“Actually I just got the pan started.”
“Can I watch?”
You give her a nod and walk into the kitchen.
“So what all do you have?” she asks standing at your side.
“Well I have garlic, shallots, arugula, grapes, and some red wine vinegar.”
You place the lamb in the pan. And grab a clove of garlic and lightly smash it. You put it in the pan skin on and begin to slice your shallot. Shantae watches your knife work with intrigue. She looks up at your face and notices the small smile on your face.
“You really like cooking don't you?”
You chuckle and smile. “It’s a passion, I can try new things. It’s fun to just come home and cook the stress away.”
Shantae smiles and watches you turn over the lamb shank the deep caramelization making you get excited.
“WOO! THAT’S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!”
Shantae giggles at your reaction.
“Sorry I got excited.”
“No, it’s fine.” she says as she wraps her arms around you and gives your cheek a small kiss, making you blush. She whispers into your ear, “I thought it was cute.”
You add in the shallots and grapes along with a splash of red wine vinegar. You smile and give shantae a kiss on her forehead. Making her face turn bright red.
You put a meat thermometer in the shanks, 140 degrees a perfect rare. You take the pan off the heat and smile at Shantae, you grab two plates and put a shank on each. You scoop up some the arugula, shallots, and grapes and use them as a topping for the lamb.
“There you go Shantae, a restaurant quality meal served in the comfort of my home.”
You take both plates into your dining room and set them down. You pull out her chair for her and let her sit.
You take a seat and smile at her. You watch as she cuts into the lamb, Shantae makes sure to get some of the topping as well and takes a bite. You watch as she closes her eyes and moans softly. She looks over at you and swallows her mouth full.
“Oh my goodness, that is so good! Really fantastic job.”
You smile at her “Thank you very much.”
You take a bite and groan. “Oh my god… That is so good. Perfectly cooked lamb, nice crunch from the shallots, and that arugula is just an excellent addition.”
Shantae giggles and you look at her plate.
“... Did you… scarf that whole lamb shank down?”
She nods and giggles.
“What can I say? It was one of the best meals I have ever had.”
You chuckle “Do you want mine?”
She quickly snatches your lamb and makes the shank disappear in only a few minutes.
You laugh and she looks up at you.
“What? It's good!”
You get up and take both of the plates and put them in your sink. Shantae gets up and walks over to your couch and takes a seat.
You sit down beside her and she leans against you.
“You look really beautiful tonight.”
Shantae blushes. “Thanks, Skyy helped me get ready for three hours. Two of those hours were just picking out this outfit.”
“Knowing you, you probably weren't all that happy about it.”
She smirks and looks up at you. “Yeah, but the look on your face more than made up for it.”
You wrap an arm around her and pull her close to you.
“Are you planning on going home tonight or…”
She turns your head and kisses your lips. Your eyes widen as Shantae presses more of her weight against yours. You quickly wrap your arms around her and press your lips to hers as well. She moans softly, feeling your affections pour out from your kiss.
She pulls away and looks into your eyes.
“After that kiss, I don't think I'm going anywhere tonight. Just as long as you promise to hold me.”
You look at her with wide eyes.
She giggles “You didn't think I would be sleeping alone tonight did you?”
“Well, I was going to sleep on the couch and give you my bed… But if you really want to then sure. I promise to hold you.”
“Good boy.” she says softly before leaning up to kiss your lips briefly.
There is a sudden flash of light and Shantae is in her sleep wear, a long shirt with pajama pants.
You smile at her “Magic is really convenient for you isn't it?”
Shantae giggles “Come on big guy, take me to your bedroom.”
You hold up a finger your mouth open like you are ready to say something. “Nah, too easy.”
She giggles and follows you to your bedroom.
“Alright, go ahead and get comfortable. I'll be back, just going to change into my pajamas.”
She kisses your cheek and whispers sweetly into your ear “I'll be waiting.”
You blush deeply and grab some pajamas out of your dresser and go into your bathroom. You change quickly and brush your teeth before returning to your room you Shantae sitting on the bed. She looks up at you and gives you a devoted smile.
You smile back and walk over to the bed and lay down. Shantae snuggles right up against you and sighs happily. You wrap your arms around her. She nestles her head under your chin and wiggled her body to try to get even closer to you.
“This is nice.” you say.
Shantae kisses your neck and giggles “Nice? Is that all?”
You lean down and kiss her forehead.
“Aside from the fact I feel like I am in heaven. Yeah this is pretty nice.”
She giggles and tries to get even closer.
“You know… It may be too soon for you to feel the way I feel about you, but… I love you.” Shantae says.
“Shantae… with the time you’ve spent with me, I feel like maybe I fell in love a long time ago, it just took tonight for me to realize it.”
She looks up at you. “So you're saying that-”
You cut her off with a kiss feeling her soft lips against yours as you gently run your hands through her long hair. You break the kiss to voice your final words.
“I love you, my half genie princess.”
She giggles and pulls you even closer.
“Thank you…” she whispers before yawning and drifting off to sleep. You give her one final kiss and drift off to dream with her.
That night while dreaming you are visited by the genies from the genie realm, more specifically, Shantae’s mother. She tells you to always treasure her daughter, apparently Shantae has dreamed of finding love for quite sometime, you promised that you would never hurt her, never leave her side, to always keep Shantae happy. Her mother seemingly satisfied departs and tells you to not mention this dream to Shantae.
You awake the next morning to find Shantae smiling in her sleep. She whispers your name and you smile. You kiss her forehead making her sigh your name. You pull her even closer, if it’s even physically possible at this point, and go back to sleep, lost in the happiness of holding Shantae in your arms of love.
if this feels rushed, it probably is. I Didn't have anything outlined or planned for this, I just started writing and did some editing. So yeah... I wrote it in about 4 hours.
