One Round From the Rear Guns of the S.S. Ponyfic!

Hello to all you nutters that follow me. I've got a new story. Not a new chapter of the other one (I'll get back to it), but a whole new story. It's a crossover between one of the more well known fan-made World of Darkness settings and obviously MLP. I've been GMing a game of Genius: the Transgression for about a year now and I realized that the initial setup for the arc they're on would make a decent hook for an HiE story, and then I realized if I went and made that story, I could write at length about Genius and ponies. I'm trying to write it so that no real knowledge of G:tT is required. Everything will be explained in adequate detail in the first chapter or two. Some knowledge of World of Darkness in general might help, but here's the very bare bones basics since this likely won't come up in the story proper:

The World of Darkness is a series of pen and paper RPGs that center around archetypal fantasy monsters and characters, but in the modern day. The most well known official ones of these are Mage, Vampire, Werewolf, Hunter, and Changeling (no, not those ones). Others include Geist (which are just weird ghosts basically), Mummy, Promethean (golems), Demon, and Beast (old school fairy tale monster). The notable fan made ones I'll possibly be working with include Genius, obviously, and they're supernaturally powerful mad scientists. And Princess, which is the magical girl one. Most of these groups either deliberately avoid explaining what they are to normal humans for a variety of reasons (Vampires, Werewolves, Mages, Changelings, Prometheans, and Beasts do this), or they're scarce enough that any public incident is written off as being faked (these would be Geniuses, Princesses, Demons, Geists, and Mummies). Hell, the first edition of Vampire is the trope namer for "The Masquerade." These groups basically run the world from the shadows, generally are aware of the existence of the others, and all have their own internal cliques and hierarchies.

A few of the power sets will feature in my story, because I'm running with the premise that Equestria is the way it is because everypony has one. Every unicorn is by definition a Mage, earth pony and pegasi powers are very similar to Changeling powers (WoD Changelings that is, this is going to get confusing and I apologize), the MLP changelings are somewhere between Changeling and Beast, alicorns are literally Princesses, and basically any given race can be reasonably classified somewhere on this spectrum.
