SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

    Episode Re-Review: The Mean Six

First and foremost, I want to briefly mention that my account for paid commisssions is up and running. It's CSPB2024. If you could all help spread the word about it, that would be appreciated. Now it's on to the episode proper, though I do briefly want to touch on the controversy surrounding the rumor about A.I. voices for "Make Your Mark" and "Tell Your Tale" that were recently debunked. It's

    Happy Birthday, Andrew Francis

Today is Andrew Francis' birthday. Fittingly, with today being Memorial Day, he is the voice of Shining Armor from the character's debut until his final on-screen appearance in Season 9. He was also the voice of Night Light for the character's first (and brief) speaking appearance in "The Crystalling, Part 2", and was the voice of a couple of other characters, including at least one royal guard.

Episode Re-Review: Marks for Effort (And Important Update!)

Before we get into the re-review, I have some important and unfortunate news to share with you all. Don't worry, I'm not leaving this site or deactivating my account if that's what you're thinking. Despite not having any new pony content to indulge on given that "Tell Your Tale" seems to have no interest in building on anything from "Make Your Mark" (Allura and Twitch have done nothing of

    Happy Birthday, Kelly Sheridan

Today is Kelly Sheridan's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Starlight Glimmer from Seasons 5 through 9, and was also the voice of characters such as Sassy Saddles, Misty Fly, and Vapor Trail's mother. She has also been the voice of Barbie in several direct to home media movies, Scarlet Witch in X-Men: Evolution, and many other roles.

Happy Birthday Kelly Sheridan · 3:11pm May 19th, 2017

Today is Kelly Sheridan's birthday, she is the voice of Starlight Glimmer. But she is also the voice of Sassy Saddles, and Misty Fly, who was the original third member of the Wonderbolts trio (albiet unnamed), but was replaced starting in Season 2 with Fleetfoot. She did not return until "Rarity Investigates" in Season 5, though it would not be until "Newbie Dash" in Season 6 that she would be seen without her flight goggles. She was also the voice of Indigo Zap in Friendship Games.

Kelly has had other roles over the years though, including the voice of Scarlet Witch, Magneto's daughter, in X-Men: Evolution.

Happy birthday, Kelly. I do hope Season 7 will give Starlight more screen time. "Rock Solid Friendship" was a good start.

Huh, I watched X-Men Evolution and saw Scarlet Witch in action, but I never knew who did her voice. Anyways, happy B-Day Kelly! Here, have some Glim-Glam, Misty Fly and Scarlet Witch... (Thankfully not the X-Men Evolution one, she's scary and would not be a gift I'd want to send anyone.)

You forgot to mention that she's also the voice of Indigo Zap from Equestria Girls: Friendship Games.

4538809 Oh yeah. A bit hard to remember that though, but chances are she'll be reprising in the first upcoming Equestria Girls special.

4538824 Also, there is a upcoming episode with Starlight trying to help Princess Celestia and her sister so Starlight will be back.

But she is also the voice of Sassy Saddles

I didn't know that! :pinkiegasp: That makes her double awesome!

Kelly Sheridan is such a cool person. I love watching her panel appearances.

Never knew Kelly Sheridan was such a prominent figure in MLP. I remember her saying that she had audtioned for roles here and there on the show, but never got selected for anything. I'd love it if she got another chance to sing. "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" was one of the best songs from "A Hearth's Warming Tail." It was so good that it got a spot on WatchPony's list of top ten moments from season six.

I had hoped that Starlight would be a prominent figure in season seven, but aside from episodes like "Celestial Advice", "All Bottled Up", "Rock Solid Friendship", "A Royal Problem", and "To Change a Changeling", the writers don't seem to be going that route. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that the writers are still giving the Mane Six their own episodes. But let's face it. The creative wells as to what you can do with these characters is drying up. I mean, am I the only one who got flashbacks to "Party Of One" when I read the synopsis for "Secrets and Pies?" Hell, the title of the episode itself comes from that very same episode, except with one letter changed.

To be fair, we still don't know the episode titles or synopsis for episodes 17, 24, 25, or 26, so Starlight could potentially have a role in those episodes. Even still, that means she will have only appeared in nine episodes, which is only one whole episode more than the amount she appeared in in season seven. Maybe the writers are just trying to make sure she doesn't overshadow the Mane Six, but if you're going to go as far as to make this character a part of the cast, have the show itself reflect that and give her some more character development. I'd like to see her in episodes like "Campfire Stories" and "Secrets and Pies." I'd like to see her interactions with the CMC, and maybe Pinkie goes insane in the latter like she did in "Party of One" and Starlight has to talk her down, telling her that getting angry isn't worth it because it's pointless. She knows what it's like to be in that place and she doesn't want Pinkie to go through what she did. Or maybe she gives Pinkie advice. (I admit, I'd much rather she go to Twilight for advice since it's been forever since those two shared a scene together.)

I'm glad that Starlight will be sharing an episode with Trixie again (*squees*), but I'd like it if Trixie got her own episode so that she could get some more character development. Maybe she meets up with Snips and Snails and bonds with them. Remember in "The Show Stoppers" how Snips and Snails put on a magic show? Maybe Trixie learns about this and is touched about how she was able to inspire other ponies. Maybe she even sits down to wtach their magic act. Wouldn't that be cute to see?

4539020 I think what really irked me about "All Bottled Up" was that while the A-plot was going on, you had the B-plot with the mane six about how they're all such good friends and all, and neither Spike or Starlight were with them. I mean really, those two are a part of the group, they deserve to be at least treated as such, not like they're there for some episodes and then forgotten about in others.

4539359 I didn't mind that. Twilight even asked them before boarding the train, "Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" They declined, so it was their in fault that they missed out. Besides, I'd much rather the writers focus on Spike and Starlight than the Mane Six. I mean, let's face it. The creative wells of what you can do with these characters are pretty much dry by now. I am glad that they are still getting episodes, though. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Zecora in a starring role again. She hasn't had one of those since the season five finale.

4539385 I mean from a narrative standpoint, especially the song "Best Friends Until The End of Time". I know some people would've been bothered, but it would've been the perfect chance to submit Starlight's status as part of the group, rather than a reoccurring character who may or may not be Unicorn Twilight 2.0 (I personally don't think she is, and I'm hoping that's not why she was redeemed).

4539410 Yes, but think about it. These ponies have known each other and have been best friends for the past six years. They're still getting used to having her in the group. It would be weird for them to include her in something like that. It would be like having Maud be involved. Sure, they're friends, but they're as close to her or Starlight as they are to each other. Even in "No Second Prances" Starlight says, "I like all of your friends." That actually kind of irked me. I always she should have said ",our" instead of "your" makes me think that the others either don't think of her as part of the group or she doesn't think she's part of their group. And Twilight and Starlight are so dissimilar that I don't see how anyone could think she and Twilight are the same pony. Like Trixie and Sunset, Starlight is Twilight's evil counterpart. (And as of "Friendship Games", human Twilight, otherwise known as Midnight Sparkle, is now also part of that group as well. How awesome would it be if all four of them came together to take Twilight down?)
