My Thoughts — Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides · 3:41pm Jun 10th, 2017

Getting ought up on the Pirates series since i'm planning on catching the 'last' one tomorrow, and I'd missed #4. Thought I'd write about it. More behind the cut, spoiler free, if you care.

And man, do I regret giving OST a pass when it hit the silver screen. Granted, not what I'd call strongest in the series, and hardly subtle in what it's trying to be (aka, summer block-buster), but I had a lot of fun with it.

I'd say it's slightly less original then the first movie in the series, but about it's equal in stakes and quality. And, well, that makes sense with the big, world-shattering stakes slash arc 1-3 had mostly resolved.

Recommend if you have a rainy day to get through.. It's not something that makes you ponder the meaning of things or such, but a well-crafted action romp with an amusing cast of characters, and an intimidating, well-acted villain.

But man. That one death. Can't believe they got away with something like that in a Disney movie! :pinkiegasp:

Not even going to describe it in a spoiler unless anybody gets confused, but I'm fairly sure anybody that's seen the movie knows which one I'm talking about. Yeash what a way to go! And fully on screen to boot!

Gosh. Haven't seen the PG-13 rating actually mean something like that since Temple of Doom. At least off the top of my head.

Anyway, again, highly recommended. Not sure at all why the critics got their panties in a bunch over this one. :pinkiehappy:

I've actually written about a thousand words, and chapter #9 is...

~20-25% done? Thereabout, I think?

Anyway, fully planned out and going well. Just quite a bit of work making sure the monsters that shows up to tempt Harry at her lowest point is creepy in their own, unique ways. :pinkiecrazy:
